It goes against my upbringing, but I agree. My family kept greyhounds, went coursing, which is some
kind of sport, compared to lamping, few hares are ever actually caught. The dogs natural instinct is
to chase, which I understand the buzz from, watching the dogs run, but I never got the kill.
It is nature mind you. Just some people enjoy watching it, some dont.
Some would say it is mans natural instinct to hunt.
But for need, not for sport, is my angle.
What seal clubbing has to do with animal sports I do not know. Think the poster is a bit confused. |

I agree. Though I thought there was a bigger reason for killing the harp seals than just for
fun...or is that something totally different?
But yeah, there are much better ways to get entertainment. |

Killing any animal for amusment is of course wrong. There is obviously no need to show dominance
over the planet by killing animals for pure fun, as our dominance is almost overbearing. However
hunting for an animal that you will eat, it understandable as you can find use in the animal, and in
some cases hunting helps the animal population (Deer Hunting reduces the starvation rate of Deer
Population). But killing an animal just for fun like bullfighting or dog fighting is just cruel. |

I can't imagine killing an animal, just because I could, it's kind of heartless in my opinion, but
then again, you need something to fill in your extra time, no matter how barbaric. |
