Yes. It spoils the integrity of he competition. |

I agree. Contestants on American Idol who have made a CD or have an offer should not be allowed to
compete on the show. It is not fair to those who have never made an album. American Idol is supposed
to be for new, fresh talent, not those who have already been around the block. American Idol is
nothing short of a popularity contest. People should be allowed to vote, but the judges should have
the final say in who stays and who goes. This year (year 7) is the worst year ever. They all suck.
This show has lot a lot of its popularity this year. |

The contestants who have already taken part in the American Idol should not be allowed to take part
in the next series of the American Idol as they already have a record deal with the labels. Besides
this they are also aware of the proceedings and other formalities of the entire procedure. So if
they take part in the next series then it will be easier for them to win casually without giving any
effort as such. Also by taking part in the next series of American Idol they are also not allowing
the other contestants who are fresh and are willing to take part in these contests. Who knows there
might be more talented people out there who are looking for a chance in their life, and given chance
they can prove their ability and achieve something really good in their life which they deserve
also. |

I have watched American Idol since the very first show, and i always felt great knowing that some
unknown TALENT..was going to be discovered in this venue. Bringing in people who have already had
that shot at a record deal, and then failed at it..should NOT be allowed to participate in American
Idol. I think people do deserve a second chance at their dreams, but not on this show. |

I think that American Idol is about showing new TALENT, but even if they did get a record deal they
should have a third or fourth chance. The contestants are still new and fresh because they haven't
become popular yet. They do not have an advantage and they deserve a second chance at their dreams. |
