America Is The Most Dangerous Country In The World
Despite problems with Iran and Iraq, Syria, North Korea, the threat of the rising tiger of China... I believe that the 'leader' of the free world is actually the most dangerous country in the world.

Look the US may be the biggest donor and have highest standard of education and all, it might have helped nation build themselves. But since the decline of the soviet union the US has been working on its own terms. UN said not to attack Iraq it did both time in 1992 and recently invaded the country. Next it invaded Afghanistan by acusing it "terrorist activities" the afghans are not at war with any one. They want to build their nation. Now its at war not only with un troops but its own tribal factions that accuse one an other and trbal regions of Pakistan for the attacks. The US has no hold in afghanistan out side of Kabul. These are the same people who once fought with the US against the USSR and caused it falls.
Iraq has no nuclear or biological warfare, it never did, it was bluffing to keep US and Israel out. The US bullied its way into Iraq without confirming its reports and accusations.
During the cold war US help nations that suited it not for their good, every single developing nation that helped US during the cold war still stand where the US termed it as terrorist or abandoned them.
Every Nation that opposes the US is a terrorist or a breeding ground of terrorist. Pakistan has been an ally of US since the Cold war, so what, Now US blames Pakistan for violence in its neibouring nations.
Kashmir has been a dispute since the independence if Both Pakistan and India
Palestine is a dispute since the creation of Israel.
What the excuse given in both these cases, "the other party doesn't agree. We can't interfere in internal matters of this dsipute."
what happened to this statement with Iraq and Afghanistan what happened to this statement when it came to palestine.
Why is ti illegal for some to damand life with out America pulling it by the chains
Why is it that the UN has no say in what US does and does not do.
It is because it one of the vito nations.
With power, it has more responsibilty than any other nation. It needs to understand the nations their culture and way of life. The US was not the one to introduce freedom of speech, freedom of life. Read the history man has been fighting for freedom since the civilization began. Man is born free and will die free no nation or man or woman own one another. Men make nations. Religion, truth, justice, honesty, civic sense, culture makes a community. They are different in different parts of the word. Each country has to accept the traditions history and culture of other nations. Human right is an issue. Did you there are 70 percent human right abuses world wide, in which USA play a role. For example taking the right of the naion citizens to question its leader in its court of law if USA likes that leader.
Dispite all the good you thank the US does, all it does is cause more inflation in terror activities. Terrorist are not born they are made. And if you think i am wrong try bulling one person constantly for no apparent reason. Try disliking the person. That person will retaliate sooner or later. So by pushing constantly the US it to be blamed for all dangers caused in the world.
PS
Did you know that all nations that give US has the largest and the one force that is spread world wide and uses vito to take action it want and is opposed by the rest of the world. SO IT IS DANGEROUS.

There are more dangerous places in the world and nuclear arms could be in more dangerous hands. Therefore America couldn't lead the way in disarmament.

Of course America is the most dangerous country in the world! I don't know why this is even considered a good topic for a debate. Moreover, because it's such common knowledge I don't know why anyone in the world would mess with the US!? Don't you know what we're capable of?

Of course they do! Which is why, even though America is the most dangerous and capable of the worst, it is the countries that would provoke action from America that threaten world stability. Here's a thought - leave America and it's allies alone. Try really hard not to piss us off.

If no one is messing with us, no one gets hurt. Simple math folks.

Probably… there is certainly an argument there. But I feel obligated to point out that for the most part America has merely been the most successful lately, (60 years or so) at doing what most countries have spent most of history trying to do. Certainly there have been very few historical examples of nations that became powerful and resisted using that power.

The nuclear problem keeps getting bigger and bigger. Nuclear waste is an even bigger problem. All in all technology should turn its attention to a complete dismantling of all its nuclear arsenals. And, America should lead the way. Otherwise there could be one almighty BANG!

I think we are the most dangerous country in the world, but I also think the planet is small and the mega corporations that run my country have nowhere to hide and just maybe someday they will realize that before it is too late

America has been single greatest barrier to progressive change in the world since the end of the Second World War, overthrowing democratic governments, supporting tyrants and dictators, instigating wars both overt and covert, and stoking up tensions worldwide.

It's clear that its leaders would love to take military action against Iran. Each week we see their war-mongering get a little more intense.

And don't give me the line that it's all the fault of Bush or the Republicans. Truman started the Cold War. Kennedy and Johnson started serious participation in the Vietnam war. Clinton supported genocidal sanctions on Iraq, killing over a million people to stop WMD which we now know weren't there.

America has a record of belligerent war-mongering against weaker nations, and of inventing preposterous threat fantasies to justify the building up of its worldwide empire.

The U.S is an international bullie trying to tell the world what to do. America is supposed to stand for freedom but it will only help a nation if it benefits the U.S.A and if you think the U.S is a hero why is it that when tibet was invaded by china they ignored tibet's cry for help or how about tiananmen square the U.S did nothing for any of them they ignored them and that was before bush.

The US has overthrown democracies in every populated continent except Australia. It doesn't believe in freedom, it believes in furthering "US interests" - in other words, make sure the US gets more than its fair share.

The US has supported and imposed pro-US fascist dictators in more than 40 countries, even supporting one communist regime (the Khmer Rouge) simply because they opposed the Vietnamese communists, and that was while the US KNEW the "killing fields" were taking place.

The US has practised assassination - physical and character - against democratically elected leaders and arranged coups d'etat against them. The US has sent military aid to numerous countries (Indonesia, Cuba, El Salvador, etc.) to help fascists and terrorists oppose and murder existing governments or democratic opposition to US-friendly regimes.

The US has practiced terrorism against other nations - secret bombings, aid to opposition groups, funding Israeli terror - again, all in the name of US interests.

"They hate us for our freedom" is one of the biggest lies of the modern age. As has been said in many countries, you're hated because you're there. Or as the British said during World War II of the yanks in England, "Overpaid, oversexed, and over here".

The US is a fascist empire. Thankfully, though, because of its greed and overreaching, it's on the verge of collapse. I just hope it won't decide to take the world down with it.

That’s true, when we see the role of America in almost every global issue, whether it is its concerned issue or not. Being the superpower they have the right to be involved in international issues but things get wrong when they poke in nose in domestic issues of the different nations.

Analyzing the current situation, we come across many issues in which America should not have involved. The American army is present almost everywhere in the world interfering in every matter. The discriminative and confrontation policies of the America have strengthened the terrorists groups.

America is actually part of the problem but tries to be the part of solution, which actually engraves the problem.

This is elementary, if you believe the United States is the most powerful country in the world then it is in fact the most dangerous. Power is the basis of fear.

According to my point of view, America is the most dangerous country what it should not be as the leader of the free world concept. America is trying to be a giant father figure to all of those countries which make the objection to its arrogance. Starting problems with Iran and Iraq, America started to circulate its stake upon Syria, North Korea, and China as well. In the war with Iraq, a number of 126 journalists have been killed till date from the commencement of the war. America is the country who creates the terror in a subtle manner and when the terror starts to threat itself, America cuts its head eventually and shows the rest of the world with a vanity that how much powerful the country is.

Yes we are, but think of it as this, if we weren't then china or Russia would be the world power and we would be right back at the beginning. I would rather be holding the best deck of cards than letting someone else do so.

Well, we do have like 2600+ more nuclear missiles than anyone else. That is enough to completely destroy the world many times over. I agree, we are probably the most dangerous country in the world. If we wanted, I suppose we could just nuke anyone that got in our way.

"Safe? Who said anything 'bout safe? 'Course he isn't safe! But he is good."
-C.S. Lewis (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe)

Dangerous is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it is very often a very great thing. What kind of nation would you rather live in: A "safe" country that can be blown apart with the slightest wind of opposition; or a country based on the defense of freedom for its citizens at all costs? The United States is unlike any other country in that it was not founded to guarantee safety at all, the colonists could have remained safe in England, but to set up a country "conceived in liberty, and based on the proposition that all men are created equal." The United States is anything except safe, but that was not its purpose so it is all the more great in its own danger and ferocity. We ought not seek to make the United States any less dangerous, but governed by those inspired by the adventure.

America is a dangerous country. I would like to make the distinction here between 'America' as a nation and America as the collection of Americans. In this debate, I am speaking of America as a nation.

America has the largest collection of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons in the world. Although it doesn't have the largest army, it has the most active military and the most technologically advanced military machinery and weaponry. Between the F22 Raptor (which can engage ten targets from a hundred miles away) and their Tomahawk Cruise Missiles which can be fired and left to travel hundreds of miles to do its damage, it is dangerous with a capital D.

Presidentially, the current president is a highly dangerous man. The American people have thus proven themselves dangerous by allowing him to be their leader, and not just once. Although I do not blame all Americans for this, it is something of an oversight to allow this man and his companions to drag them into foreign wars.

America's ignorance of the UN during the lead up to the illegal invasion of Iraq proves it to operate outside of international law. Furthermore, in setting up a concentration camp at Guantanamo Bay, it proved itself to be cruel. The torture flights have proven it to be stoop to no lengths to further its aims.

Historically, America was a hero to the world. The champion for freedom. However, at some point during the Second World War, it changed. It dropped two tremendously powerful nuclear atom bombs on its enemies in Japan, not military targets, but civilian targets. The terrible damage and death wrought by Japanese bombers on Pearl Harbour was nothing, literally nothing in comparison. With the use of the atom bombs, America proved itself capable of killing on a massive scale.

Since then, using its military powers, it has bullied, bribed and blackmailed its way to dominance. One of the most worrying aspects is the way that it is willing to protect its economy with military powers.

America is a highly educated nation and yet eighty two percent of Americans do not own a passport, even more can't point to Europe on a map. This lack of awareness of the world is very dangerous, it makes one focus on an Americentric approach to everything.

Freedom is key to America. However, it is an American concept of freedom, like democracy, it is a democracy whether it is required or not, it is a freedom whether others want it or not. It is also a kind of freedom for America that comes at the freedom of others.

America is an immensely rich and powerful nation, I respect many Americans and love the beautiful country, but I am deeply concerned that America is more of a danger to the world than any of the so-called Rogue Nations.

Granted, unlike some Muslim countries, American appears to be the pinnacle of all things, but since Washington State was once given Third World Country status by the World Health Organisation, how could a part of the most rich and powerful country in the world end up being as poor as a third world country. During Hurricane Katrina, America 'the nation' again showed its danger to its own citizens by not coming to their aid and firing on those desperate enough to break into a store for food.

America treats foreigners with huge suspicion and contempt. Finger printing all foreigners entering the country, iris scans, questionnaires, treating all non-Americans as potential terrorists is like saying all Americans are dumb just because their president is not the sharpest tool.

I agree America has done so much for the world, for the progression of politics, art, science and other areas. However, at the moment, I count it more dangerous than countries with less democratic or less stable regimes.

The US is the most powerful nation but not the most dangerous.
They always have a very good reason to go after someone.
They will not kill some one for n good reason.
Al qaeda will.

Do you know what you are talking about? We did most of military actions to spread freedom to other people. We our the ones who introduced free speech, free religion, freedom of the press and freedom of assembly as well as many other rights. Your country might not have them if we hadn't not introduced them. We have helped liberate many nations, so why don't you rethink what you have said.

-Japan (earthquakes)
-India (monsoon, flood)
-Afghanistan/Iraq (war)
-North Korea (nothing needed to be said)

America is no longer the "leader" of the free world. We've fallen far behind many other countries in many areas in education, the family unit is crumbling and the economy is dwindling. And the problems started way before Bush was elected President. We don't have the power to be very dangerous any longer.
