America Is The Most Dangerous Country In The World
Despite problems with Iran and Iraq, Syria, North Korea, the threat of the rising tiger of China... I believe that the 'leader' of the free world is actually the most dangerous country in the world.

A country which plays the role of the big brother in all reality does a lot of pushing around and making demands instead of trying to work things out.

There once was a time when America could have overtaken the world, but it didn't. We gave our secret away to countries who we thought were our allies...but then I think they betrayed us...I don't remember. Anyway, yes, we can take on any country we want and probably win. It might be hard, but I think we can do it. However, we're so nice, we're not going to do that.

Any government that can be bought and sold like a business is very dangerous; they are only puppets. The real danger is the puppet master; that "government" that dwells in the shadows making the decisions. Any government that makes decisions against the will of its people is a dangerous government. A government who wishes its people be totally dependent on them is dangerous. A government that consistently violates its own Constitution is a dangerous government.

Is America guilty?

YES!

The PNAC site disappeared about two years ago. Perhaps too many people were catching on to their real agenda. Just remember two terms:

"Project for a New American Century"
"Reich of a Thousand Years"

And the phrase "New world order" first spoken in the US by Bush Sr. and repeated by republicans since then? It was coined first by Hitler at his Nuremburg speech in 1938.

America is by far the most dangerous nation in the world. For having the largest military budget of over 400 billion dollars, ten times that of the UK. USA also probably has the most nuclear weapons in the world (Russia may have more).
The USA has used a foreign policy based upon hypocrisy and vested interests in recent years as well as the past.
For example the acquisitions of the philippines and puerto rico and the virtual vassallage of cuba in 1906.
Occupation of japan and philippines by douglas mcarthur after ww2 who had many business interests in the region.
Vietnam, where great brutality was used against civilians
Iraq 2003, where the us companies got most business contracts after the war.
USA has also sponsored many fascist dictators
Bastia of Cuba
Suharto of Indonesia (killed 1 million)
Pinochet of Chile who deposed democratically elected socialist Govt, the Shah of Iran who did likewise.
Musharraf of Pakistan
I could name dozens more
this is why the USA is the most dangerous in the world

The terroristst are more in number now than before Bush got elected. I don´t think there is another country in the world who brings the same hate feelings to people over the world. After what Bush has done in 8 years, the world demand an american president who could focus a bit more on his own country!!!

It is the most dangerous, at the moment most advanced in warfare and has a grasp on the 'free' world. It decides to go to war Afghanistan, Britain follows. It decides to involve its self in Russia's issues by placing bouts in the sea, this reminds me of what Russia wanted to do in Cuba, another Cold war is on the verge and America is all to blame.

Look the US may be the biggest donor and have highest standard of education and all, it might have helped nation build themselves. But since the decline of the soviet union the US has been working on its own terms. UN said not to attack Iraq it did both time in 1992 and recently invaded the country. Next it invaded Afghanistan by acusing it "terrorist activities" the afghans are not at war with any one. They want to build their nation. Now its at war not only with un troops but its own tribal factions that accuse one an other and trbal regions of Pakistan for the attacks. The US has no hold in afghanistan out side of Kabul. These are the same people who once fought with the US against the USSR and caused it falls.
Iraq has no nuclear or biological warfare, it never did, it was bluffing to keep US and Israel out. The US bullied its way into Iraq without confirming its reports and accusations.
During the cold war US help nations that suited it not for their good, every single developing nation that helped US during the cold war still stand where the US termed it as terrorist or abandoned them.
Every Nation that opposes the US is a terrorist or a breeding ground of terrorist. Pakistan has been an ally of US since the Cold war, so what, Now US blames Pakistan for violence in its neibouring nations.
Kashmir has been a dispute since the independence if Both Pakistan and India
Palestine is a dispute since the creation of Israel.
What the excuse given in both these cases, "the other party doesn't agree. We can't interfere in internal matters of this dsipute."
what happened to this statement with Iraq and Afghanistan what happened to this statement when it came to palestine.
Why is ti illegal for some to damand life with out America pulling it by the chains
Why is it that the UN has no say in what US does and does not do.
It is because it one of the vito nations.
With power, it has more responsibilty than any other nation. It needs to understand the nations their culture and way of life. The US was not the one to introduce freedom of speech, freedom of life. Read the history man has been fighting for freedom since the civilization began. Man is born free and will die free no nation or man or woman own one another. Men make nations. Religion, truth, justice, honesty, civic sense, culture makes a community. They are different in different parts of the word. Each country has to accept the traditions history and culture of other nations. Human right is an issue. Did you there are 70 percent human right abuses world wide, in which USA play a role. For example taking the right of the naion citizens to question its leader in its court of law if USA likes that leader.
Dispite all the good you thank the US does, all it does is cause more inflation in terror activities. Terrorist are not born they are made. And if you think i am wrong try bulling one person constantly for no apparent reason. Try disliking the person. That person will retaliate sooner or later. So by pushing constantly the US it to be blamed for all dangers caused in the world.
PS
Did you know that all nations that give US has the largest and the one force that is spread world wide and uses vito to take action it want and is opposed by the rest of the world. SO IT IS DANGEROUS.

There are more dangerous places in the world and nuclear arms could be in more dangerous hands. Therefore America couldn't lead the way in disarmament.

Of course America is the most dangerous country in the world! I don't know why this is even considered a good topic for a debate. Moreover, because it's such common knowledge I don't know why anyone in the world would mess with the US!? Don't you know what we're capable of?

Of course they do! Which is why, even though America is the most dangerous and capable of the worst, it is the countries that would provoke action from America that threaten world stability. Here's a thought - leave America and it's allies alone. Try really hard not to piss us off.

If no one is messing with us, no one gets hurt. Simple math folks.

Probably… there is certainly an argument there. But I feel obligated to point out that for the most part America has merely been the most successful lately, (60 years or so) at doing what most countries have spent most of history trying to do. Certainly there have been very few historical examples of nations that became powerful and resisted using that power.

The nuclear problem keeps getting bigger and bigger. Nuclear waste is an even bigger problem. All in all technology should turn its attention to a complete dismantling of all its nuclear arsenals. And, America should lead the way. Otherwise there could be one almighty BANG!

America has been single greatest barrier to progressive change in the world since the end of the Second World War, overthrowing democratic governments, supporting tyrants and dictators, instigating wars both overt and covert, and stoking up tensions worldwide.

It's clear that its leaders would love to take military action against Iran. Each week we see their war-mongering get a little more intense.

And don't give me the line that it's all the fault of Bush or the Republicans. Truman started the Cold War. Kennedy and Johnson started serious participation in the Vietnam war. Clinton supported genocidal sanctions on Iraq, killing over a million people to stop WMD which we now know weren't there.

America has a record of belligerent war-mongering against weaker nations, and of inventing preposterous threat fantasies to justify the building up of its worldwide empire.

America is supposed to stand for freedom but it will only help a nation if it benefits the U.S.A and if you think the U.S is a hero why is it that when tibet was invaded by china they ignored tibet's cry for help or how about tiananmen square the U.S did nothing for any of them they ignored them and that was before bush.

The US has overthrown democracies in every populated continent except Australia. It doesn't believe in freedom, it believes in furthering "US interests" - in other words, make sure the US gets more than its fair share.

The US has supported and imposed pro-US fascist dictators in more than 40 countries, even supporting one communist regime (the Khmer Rouge) simply because they opposed the Vietnamese communists, and that was while the US KNEW the "killing fields" were taking place.

The US has practised assassination - physical and character - against democratically elected leaders and arranged coups d'etat against them. The US has sent military aid to numerous countries (Indonesia, Cuba, El Salvador, etc.) to help fascists and terrorists oppose and murder existing governments or democratic opposition to US-friendly regimes.

The US has practiced terrorism against other nations - secret bombings, aid to opposition groups, funding Israeli terror - again, all in the name of US interests.

"They hate us for our freedom" is one of the biggest lies of the modern age. As has been said in many countries, you're hated because you're there. Or as the British said during World War II of the yanks in England, "Overpaid, oversexed, and over here".

The US is a fascist empire. Thankfully, though, because of its greed and overreaching, it's on the verge of collapse. I just hope it won't decide to take the world down with it.

That’s true, when we see the role of America in almost every global issue, whether it is its concerned issue or not. Being the superpower they have the right to be involved in international issues but things get wrong when they poke in nose in domestic issues of the different nations.

Analyzing the current situation, we come across many issues in which America should not have involved. The American army is present almost everywhere in the world interfering in every matter. The discriminative and confrontation policies of the America have strengthened the terrorists groups.

America is actually part of the problem but tries to be the part of solution, which actually engraves the problem.

According to my point of view, America is the most dangerous country what it should not be as the leader of the free world concept. America is trying to be a giant father figure to all of those countries which make the objection to its arrogance. Starting problems with Iran and Iraq, America started to circulate its stake upon Syria, North Korea, and China as well. In the war with Iraq, a number of 126 journalists have been killed till date from the commencement of the war. America is the country who creates the terror in a subtle manner and when the terror starts to threat itself, America cuts its head eventually and shows the rest of the world with a vanity that how much powerful the country is.

"Safe? Who said anything 'bout safe? 'Course he isn't safe! But he is good."
-C.S. Lewis (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe)

Dangerous is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it is very often a very great thing. What kind of nation would you rather live in: A "safe" country that can be blown apart with the slightest wind of opposition; or a country based on the defense of freedom for its citizens at all costs? The United States is unlike any other country in that it was not founded to guarantee safety at all, the colonists could have remained safe in England, but to set up a country "conceived in liberty, and based on the proposition that all men are created equal." The United States is anything except safe, but that was not its purpose so it is all the more great in its own danger and ferocity. We ought not seek to make the United States any less dangerous, but governed by those inspired by the adventure.

America is a dangerous country. I would like to make the distinction here between 'America' as a nation and America as the collection of Americans. In this debate, I am speaking of America as a nation.

America has the largest collection of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons in the world. Although it doesn't have the largest army, it has the most active military and the most technologically advanced military machinery and weaponry. Between the F22 Raptor (which can engage ten targets from a hundred miles away) and their Tomahawk Cruise Missiles which can be fired and left to travel hundreds of miles to do its damage, it is dangerous with a capital D.

Presidentially, the current president is a highly dangerous man. The American people have thus proven themselves dangerous by allowing him to be their leader, and not just once. Although I do not blame all Americans for this, it is something of an oversight to allow this man and his companions to drag them into foreign wars.

America's ignorance of the UN during the lead up to the illegal invasion of Iraq proves it to operate outside of international law. Furthermore, in setting up a concentration camp at Guantanamo Bay, it proved itself to be cruel. The torture flights have proven it to be stoop to no lengths to further its aims.

Historically, America was a hero to the world. The champion for freedom. However, at some point during the Second World War, it changed. It dropped two tremendously powerful nuclear atom bombs on its enemies in Japan, not military targets, but civilian targets. The terrible damage and death wrought by Japanese bombers on Pearl Harbour was nothing, literally nothing in comparison. With the use of the atom bombs, America proved itself capable of killing on a massive scale.

Since then, using its military powers, it has bullied, bribed and blackmailed its way to dominance. One of the most worrying aspects is the way that it is willing to protect its economy with military powers.

America is a highly educated nation and yet eighty two percent of Americans do not own a passport, even more can't point to Europe on a map. This lack of awareness of the world is very dangerous, it makes one focus on an Americentric approach to everything.

Freedom is key to America. However, it is an American concept of freedom, like democracy, it is a democracy whether it is required or not, it is a freedom whether others want it or not. It is also a kind of freedom for America that comes at the freedom of others.

America is an immensely rich and powerful nation, I respect many Americans and love the beautiful country, but I am deeply concerned that America is more of a danger to the world than any of the so-called Rogue Nations.

Granted, unlike some Muslim countries, American appears to be the pinnacle of all things, but since Washington State was once given Third World Country status by the World Health Organisation, how could a part of the most rich and powerful country in the world end up being as poor as a third world country. During Hurricane Katrina, America 'the nation' again showed its danger to its own citizens by not coming to their aid and firing on those desperate enough to break into a store for food.

America treats foreigners with huge suspicion and contempt. Finger printing all foreigners entering the country, iris scans, questionnaires, treating all non-Americans as potential terrorists is like saying all Americans are dumb just because their president is not the sharpest tool.

I agree America has done so much for the world, for the progression of politics, art, science and other areas. However, at the moment, I count it more dangerous than countries with less democratic or less stable regimes.

I wish America was the most dangerous country in the world. We spend all this time worrying about what the rest of the world would think if we do this or that and not enough time thinking about if it is something we should or have to do. You can call us a bully, or big brother, or dangerous, or whatever else you want, but the truth is that America is strong and safe. We need to stop worrying about peoples feelings and think about what is right, and what needs to be done to keep America strong and safe. If other countries think we are so dangerous, they should either fight with us or get out of our way because we don't have time for a bunch of wimpy complainers who can't get anything done because they are too busy crying about all their problems. No matter what you believe, if you live in America, your first priority should be America. The world is far too dangerous for us to be thinking about everyone else first. You may call it selfish but I call it patriotic. I'm not saying we should isolate our selves from the world, but your country comes first because you can't help others if you can't help yourself.

I've always been bemused by patriotism, and I don't think I'm alone (at least in Britain). WHY should you put America first? Why is an American life more valuable to you than any other? If an American president had to chose between an American or (say) a Mexican dying, he'd chose the American, and I'm not quite sure why. What does where you're born have to do with anything?

America is an easy nation to hate, that is without a doubt. I see it plainly, America's once stellar reputation in the international community has dissipated and has been replaced be a bitter resentment. However, we are in no way a threat to the stability of the world, we were under the Bush administration, but that is no longer. We are, once again, on track. We are of course not perfect, no nation is. We are but a superpower, the superpower, and our blunders have a much greater ripple than the blunders of other, less vital, nations.

Probably the most hated government but not the most dangerous, You can walk around and make a living without fear of a militia or anti U.S. Regiem crossing your path. And when it comes to genocide, I cant remember the last time it happened in the U.S. Foreign policy is to influence westernism and promote trade. And last but not least, carry a big enough gun to control a conflict. Not to destroy all others

We our the ones who introduced free speech, free religion, freedom of the press and freedom of assembly as well as many other rights. Your country might not have them if we hadn't not introduced them. We have helped liberate many nations, so why don't you rethink what you have said.

Do YOU know what your talking about, you are an idiot who is blinded by the media. Do you know it's widely known the CNN's "best political team" are members of the CIA. You just need to watch one episode of fox news to see they are widely republican and trash any democratic advance. George Bush's family fortune was began of his grandfather who invested in the one and only Adolf Hitler and testimonies from george bush's grandfathers close associates saying they even tried to get a swastica raised in washington. George bush's grandfather, his father and George Bush himself are all members of an organization called "skull & bones" a group focused on illuminati, which if you have no idea around what mainstream media feeds you which i imagine is true it means single world order. This is global takeover, the united states have bases in over 60 countries, they cannot spread freedom with war. there's an old saying, Come to democracy, or democracy will come to you. That is not freedom. Freedom would be allowing these countries to continue in they're own hasardous ways, and only interfearing if it involves our own security. And then you might throw at me 911. Well actually every single terrorist who was on the planes were paid by the bush administration to live in america to have cars in america AND EVEN FLIGHT LESSONS. Dont believe me look it up? To minimize casualties the planes were at a 25% full when every single other of the 4000 planes in the air were at a 80% full The united states, acutally better yet. The Republican bush administration this includes John McCain are illuminati hungry and are in fact the most dangerous nation on the world. So why don't you rethink what you have said.

America is no longer the "leader" of the free world. We've fallen far behind many other countries in many areas in education, the family unit is crumbling and the economy is dwindling. And the problems started way before Bush was elected President. We don't have the power to be very dangerous any longer.

I’m going to answer this on a literal level.
I once saw a British guidebook to the U.S. That called downtown Los Angles a guerrilla warfare zone, to be avoided at all times. What a joke?
Yes, there are parts of the U.S. That are dangerous to be about in. I have been warned in Mexico City to not go to the zocalo (main plaza) in broad daylight, to never walk at night in Belize City, and that Cape Town is the most dangerous city in the world. As a single-woman traveler, I’ve walked about all three with equanimity.
Granted there are truly dangerous places, but to walk in fear is to invite (or manifest) attack. Yes, America has way too many guns in the public’s hands, but there are overwhelmingly more decent than dangerous people here just going about their business -- even in downtown LA.

Actually every country is just as dangerous as the next cuz we all have the technology to start a nuclear war against each other. I like your opinion though. It is a really good one.

We used to be, but now it is actually china, they have way more men and fire power, or Russia, their whole economy is based on the military, they like to build tanks more than to feed their citizens.

To have a nation simply powerful is not a danger.
To have an aggressive and tyrannical nation is.

The U.S. Has helped rebuild every single nation it has fought. Many have their own reasons why . . . (Economy, Allies, To Look Better) . . . But, the majority of it was done out of the love of freedom and a desire to share it. As well a desire to prevent more war.

Ok this is again elementary, Was Iraq a threat to the United States in your eyes after 9/11. A county under U.S. sanctions with no Air force and no Navy no ties to al-qaeda until after the invasion and quite obviously now no WMD's. Now we are building permanent military bases there which was never the public stance on what our role was to be in Iraq, remember we were going to be greeted as liberators, so much for that.

1953

Iran – CIA overthrows the democratically elected Mohammed Mossadegh in a military coup, after he threatened to nationalize British oil. The CIA replaces him with a dictator, the Shah of Iran, whose secret police, SAVAK, is as brutal as the Gestapo.

1954

Guatemala — CIA overthrows the democratically elected Jacob Arbenz in a military coup. Arbenz has threatened to nationalize the Rockefeller-owned United Fruit Company, in which CIA Director Allen Dulles also owns stock. Arbenz is replaced with a series of right-wing dictators whose bloodthirsty policies will kill over 100,000 Guatemalans in the next 40 years.

1954-1958

North Vietnam — CIA officer Edward Lansdale spends four years trying to overthrow the communist government of North Vietnam, using all the usual dirty tricks. The CIA also attempts to legitimize a tyrannical puppet regime in South Vietnam, headed by Ngo Dinh Diem. These efforts fail to win the hearts and minds of the South Vietnamese because the Diem government is opposed to true democracy, land reform and poverty reduction measures. The CIA’s continuing failure results in escalating American intervention, culminating in the Vietnam War.

1956

Hungary — Radio Free Europe incites Hungary to revolt by broadcasting Khruschev’s Secret Speech, in which he denounced Stalin. It also hints that American aid will help the Hungarians fight. This aid fails to materialize as Hungarians launch a doomed armed revolt, which only invites a major Soviet invasion. The conflict kills 7,000 Soviets and 30,000 Hungarians.

1957-1973

Laos — The CIA carries out approximately one coup per year trying to nullify Laos’ democratic elections. The problem is the Pathet Lao, a leftist group with enough popular support to be a member of any coalition government. In the late 50s, the CIA even creates an "Armee Clandestine" of Asian mercenaries to attack the Pathet Lao. After the CIA’s army suffers numerous defeats, the U.S. starts bombing, dropping more bombs on Laos than all the U.S. bombs dropped in World War II. A quarter of all Laotians will eventually become refugees, many living in caves.

1959

Haiti — The U.S. military helps "Papa Doc" Duvalier become dictator of Haiti. He creates his own private police force, the "Tonton Macoutes," who terrorize the population with machetes. They will kill over 100,000 during the Duvalier family reign. The U.S. does not protest their dismal human rights record.

1961

The Bay of Pigs — The CIA sends 1,500 Cuban exiles to invade Castro’s Cuba. But "Operation Mongoose" fails, due to poor planning, security and backing. The planners had imagined that the invasion will spark a popular uprising against Castro -– which never happens. A promised American air strike also never occurs. This is the CIA’s first public setback, causing President Kennedy to fire CIA Director Allen Dulles.

Dominican Republic — The CIA assassinates Rafael Trujillo, a murderous dictator Washington has supported since 1930. Trujillo’s business interests have grown so large (about 60 percent of the economy) that they have begun competing with American business interests.

Ecuador — The CIA-backed military forces the democratically elected President Jose Velasco to resign. Vice President Carlos Arosemana replaces him; the CIA fills the now vacant vice presidency with its own man.

Congo (Zaire) — The CIA assassinates the democratically elected Patrice Lumumba. However, public support for Lumumba’s politics runs so high that the CIA cannot clearly install his opponents in power. Four years of political turmoil follow.

1963

Dominican Republic — The CIA overthrows the democratically elected Juan Bosch in a military coup. The CIA installs a repressive, right-wing junta.

Ecuador — A CIA-backed military coup overthrows President Arosemana, whose independent (not socialist) policies have become unacceptable to Washington. A military junta assumes command, cancels the 1964 elections, and begins abusing human rights.

1964

Brazil — A CIA-backed military coup overthrows the democratically elected government of Joao Goulart. The junta that replaces it will, in the next two decades, become one of the most bloodthirsty in history. General Castelo Branco will create Latin America’s first death squads, or bands of secret police who hunt down "communists" for torture, interrogation and murder. Often these "communists" are no more than Branco’s political opponents. Later it is revealed that the CIA trains the death squads.

1965

Indonesia — The CIA overthrows the democratically elected Sukarno with a military coup. The CIA has been trying to eliminate Sukarno since 1957, using everything from attempted assassination to sexual intrigue, for nothing more than his declaring neutrality in the Cold War. His successor, General Suharto, will massacre between 500,000 to 1 million civilians accused of being "communist." The CIA supplies the names of countless suspects.

Dominican Republic — A popular rebellion breaks out, promising to reinstall Juan Bosch as the country’s elected leader. The revolution is crushed when U.S. Marines land to uphold the military regime by force. The CIA directs everything behind the scenes.

Greece — With the CIA’s backing, the king removes George Papandreous as prime minister. Papandreous has failed to vigorously support U.S. interests in Greece.

Congo (Zaire) — A CIA-backed military coup installs Mobutu Sese Seko as dictator. The hated and repressive Mobutu exploits his desperately poor country for billions.

I think it depends, we might be the most potentially dangerous, as we are one of the richest and most powerful nations in the world military-wise, but I think it's ignorant to think we are simply 'the most dangerous nation in the world' is ignorant.

No, America is not the most dangerous country in the world.

Yes, sometimes our Presidents have been dangerous as has been the present one: George W Bush, whose election was manipulation of rule and law, probably some type of bribery by his father (who, in Paris, "bribed" others to NOT release the Iraqi hostages until after his pal Ronnie Regan was sworn in), Daddy Bush's power with some Supreme Court members, lies by the Florida b... Who called the Florida election for him, stealing voters rights in Florida, damage to voting machines in Ohio, and other manipulations that let "W" steal the Presidency twice.

Yes, America has been dangerous in this world under such an ignorant man, and his pals Karl Rove and Dick Cheney. PLEASE, PEOPLE OF THE WORLD, DON'T BLAME AMERICA FOR WHAT THE FEW HAVE DONE THE PAST 7 YEARS.

But, remember, America used our strength and power during the 20th Century to benefit the world. The 20th Century will always be known as the century when America used might and will and heart to save the world from the worst of dictatorships.

People of Europe and Asia, please remember who came to your rescue when Hitler and Hirohito with their strong armies tried to take over your countries and the world.

Yes, it was an America that was strong and was willing to send a million of our young men and women to fight for and with you.

Because we came your country, you are free within your own country to fight your in-boundary battles. Not only did we send our young men to die by the hundred thousands, but everyone who stayed behind turned their lives upside down to help the war effort. I was a 7-year-old girl who walked the roads and creeks and pastures to find pieces of rubber and metal to be used to make bullets and war machines. My mother and many others worked in the factories to make what the war needed. Our family gave up many basic necessities to help you to be free.

America was not wrong to stop the horrendous war with Japan with bombs. Sure, the bomb would have been more correctly placed if dropped on the Emperor’s army and navy, but they were never in a single place as a target. Had the war not been stopped, millions more people would have died while the fighting went on and on; and, the whole island of Japan would have been destroyed before the Emperor surrendered…and that was the only surrender that was possible to end the war that the Emperor started against all of Asia, not just America at Pearl Harbor.

After WWII, America put up the money and the plan to restore Europe and Japan for the benefit of the world. Individual Americans put their lives, their futures, their economy, and their families on hold until those nations became strong. Sadly, it took far longer to help the people of the USSR, but America’s military and nuclear weapons eventually led to the end of the Cold War.

Countries all over the world have received foreign aid from America. During the 1950’s while I was in high school, one of the major topics debated was whether America was spending too much foreign aid to others and, thereby, ignoring the needs of Americans. That debate did not stop the flow of financial aid to countries around the world. If America had repayment today that covered in full, the multi-millions of debts to other countries that we forgave, then maybe our economy today would be far better for us and the world economy.

America also gave lives and resources to keep South Korea free; and, Americans are still in Korea to protect South Korea in that unending war. My son spent a year just 60 miles from the North Korean border just a few years ago.

Americans have helped people on every continent and numerous lands to seek or find peace…. Ireland, Somalia, South Viet Nam, and other places in Europe, Asia and Africa.

America’s sons and daughters are still fighting to free peoples of the world so that they can make choices to live their own lives or accept governing by bullies.

Americans choose freedom and a democracy that works, as it is working now during a major election. This election will bring back the America that has the wisdom, common sense, money and healthy leadership to deserve the respect of the people of the world.

Sometimes even the best sports team starts losing their games because they have a bad coach who makes bad decisions, but when the get a new and wiser coach, they win again. America will be like that team when we get a new coach and new ‘players’ (in Congress and Governmental Agencies, the Pentagon and more), the Phoenix, America, will rise to regain the respect of the world.

Individual Americans are this very hour serving in hundreds of countries around the world. Where there is hunger, Americans are sending food. Where there are painful, horrible disasters, Americans arrive quickly and stay longer. Where children need recovery from disease and vaccinations to prevent them, Americans are there.

Where people of Africa need cataracts removed to stop blindness, Americans are there. Where children with cleft-lip repair, Americans are there. This hour Americans are helping millions of people without carrying a rifle or flying a bomber because they are serving individuals with their hearts and hands.

WANTING PEACE, BEING A LEADER AMONG NATIONS, COOPERATING WITH FREE NATIONS, PROTECTING THOSE WHO NEED PROTECTION, HELPING TO STRENGTHENING OTHER NATIONS BY HELPING THEIR PEOPLE, SEEKING FREEDOM FOR THOSE WHO CHOOSE FREEDOM, AND WITH OTHERS WHO WOULD HELP THEM are not dangerous things to do and are what America wants to and can do on this very small planet in one of many Universes. America is not dangerous.

It could be argued that ,America , by seemingly being the most dangerous country in the world in international terms, actually helps to maintain world peace .

I'm not sure if this debate means that America is an unsafe country in which to live as I don't know enough about statistics for crime rates. I would agree that Americas gun laws are a mystery to most of us here in the UK. We tend to hear a lot about crime in the USA but how much of this is media hype I'm not sure.

I do not support any actions taken by Bush and from here think he is the most dangerous, misinformed president America has had the misfortune to have elected. He has tarnished Americas image to a frightening degree.
However once Bush has been removed from office America has the chance to make good the image Bush has shattered.
Like it or not I think the rest of us in the west need America's super power to keep the balance of overall world peace even if this doesn't mean peace in the world.

He is the most dangerous, misinformed president America has had the misfortune - or ignorance - to elect... TWICE! Apparently, the people here are just as dangerous and misinformed.
