The US is becoming more and more anti CHRISTIAN Church, the Moslems aren't attacked like Christians
are and they are growing fast, where I live. The start of the attacks on Churches was by gay
organization, angry because of discrimination. Then atheist jumped on the band wagon, but you have
to feel sorry for them, they believe all life is.....eat have sex and die. That would make anyone
angry. Yes it's growing in the US, but that was told it would happen 2000 years ago. Not in some
stupid Nostradamus quatrain, that could mean anything, but in plain English (in my book) New
Testament was originally Greek. |

Yes that is true and it that is bad. |

Church has never needed mass-congregation to validate it... You shouldn't let slipping numbers
disturb your faith... Possibly you should better recognize what you have faith in...
What if their were buddhist statues in question here or taoist icons? Would those have less
legitimate of a claim in certain areas? Do public places need to carry the reminder to have faith? |

Hopefully. All the most recent Pew and Gallup polls have shown that the number of non-religious
people is growing dramatically, up from 7% in 1990 to 14% in 2000 to probably in the 20% range
today.
Hopefully America is growing up just like Europe and England did before us. There, those who
profess religion is down around 35% in many areas. |

The United States is the most religious nation in the world. There are more churches, temples, and
mosques here than any other country in the world. Something like 85% of the population claims to
believe in god.
It's Western society in general which is turning away from the church; countries like Sweden are
almost completely secular. |

Yours is a truly dishonest argument, but that's not a surprise since you seek to impose it on
others.
Since you are blissfully and ignorantly unaware of your own country's history, I will enlighten you:
Francis Bellamy, who wrote the US pledge of allegiance, was a fundamentalist baptist christian and a
door-to-door proselytizer, and yet his pledge, as he wrote it in 1892, said: "I pledge allegiance
to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice
for all." Bellamy, an overtly religious person, who shares George Bush's religion, did
not use the words "under god" despite him wanting all Americans to be christians. It makes
me wonder what your problem is.
An anti-religious society is one that seeks to prevent people from practicing unapproved religions.
Interestingly, that's true of both North Korea and Saudi Arabia. The difference is, one bans all
religion while the other bans all religion except one. And the US is heading toward the Saudi
model, the most anti-religious state of all, where it is illegal to even speak non-islamic religious
words in public.
A secular society makes no proclamations on religion and does not coerce nor prevent membership,
despite lies told by the rabidly religious. Freedom of religion also includes freedom
from religion.
Cambodia has possibly the best legal framework of all nations: Total religious personal freedom,
even for religions that are deemed cults in many countries, yet no attacking other religions and no
proselytizing is allowed. If only other nations would follow that enlightened example. |

Are you kidding me!? George Bush mentions God in his speeches and religion is SO important in
America that only religious people can get into power. |

I disagree. I am from England, and over here we laugh at the Americans for being so ignorant and
uneducated that religion has such a valuable place in society, especially in the deep south. When
would you ever hear Gordon Brown refer to God in one of his speeches? I hope that America does
become an anti-church state, because it will improve. |

Disagree this time, Although I feel your point. Anti God more and more, but where I am, between
churches, chicken
joints and liquor stows we have too much as is, and yes church makes more revenue than the rest. |
