The world is going to end in 2009.
The world is going to end in 2010.
The world is going to end in 2011.
I’ll get it right eventually.
The world is going to end in 2012.
The world is going to end in 2013. |

Why would it end, what significant event is taking place in 2012. IT'S NOT GOING TO END PEOPLE,
THINK ABOUT IT! |

Anyone fancy a little bet with me. I say it doesn't end in 2012. |

I guess we will find out in 4 years... But I am going with no. |

I don't know where the Christians get the end of the world stuff. The Bible says there will be a
great war in the mid east, natural disasters, diseases and famine. Then at the last moment when
people think all is lost, jesus will return and reign on the earth for 1000 years and after that
there's more but I not up on it. |

The Mayan calendar has predicted it so I'm going with it |

Yeah, I agree. Jesus said that no one knows when He will come back, meaning that is near the end of
the world. So, no one will know when the end of the world is. |

I agree. Most "end of the world predictions" never happened so far. Why would it happen in four
years from now ? |
| |

I have a theory. The Mayan prediction of the end of the age in 2012 will likely fail. Bad stuff will
happen, of course, but not the end of the age, exactly. By that, I mean destruction of more people
than ever before and stuff we can find in Revelation. Some will say "Hey! There is no end of the
world. Things will continue as they always have. This is just like the Bible's predictions and they
are all lies." The rest of the theory, I am working on, but it includes what the Bible says. To
speak of the future correctly (besides using the Bible's few details) requires broad explanations
because specifics, I can't have. |

Yes it is, people have always thought the world was going to end. (eg 1964, 1982 and most feared and
most recently 2000.) I see it on the History Channel all the time. It is interesting to watch but is
not true. We may be headed for major disasters in the near future but, the world will not end on
12/21/12 |

It's kind of fun to watch though. There are so many Christians that are banking on the end of the
world, and tend to be drawn to it, but the problem is it's based on the Mayan calendar, and they
have a problem with that. I used to listen to some of the crazy overnight radio and here them call.
Very entertaining |

We'll know that when we get there, won't we. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
There's no way to know that until 2012. |
| |
|

Where exactly did yo get this information about 2012 |
| |
|
| |
|

That from someone who believes in the fable of "armageddon" and "the second coming"?
Pot, meet kettle. You're black. |

There is some astronomical event which will take place : An alignment with the galactic plane. This
part of the 2012 palaver is genuine and not made up. It corresponds to the end of the Age of Pisces
and the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. However, it cannot be dated precisely because the
alignment cannot be measured perfectly. Therefore, all that can really be said is that the alignment
will take place within a span of several decades. It takes place once every 26000 years or so and
it's hard to say what its effects will be, if any, since all of our civilisation has developed since
then.
The Mayan Calendar did end in 2012 and that is, at least, interesting. We've no idea why they chose
to end their calendar then. There's no special reason to believe that it signifies the end of the
world.
Terence McKenna looked at the I Ching, a Chinese prophetic text, and applied some weird analytical
technique to it which he claimed corresponded to the levels of activity in history. Curiously, he
found that the activity came to an end in November 2012. That was close enough to December, he
thought, so he just revised it to that.
Not everyone thinks 2012 will be something catastrophic. In fact, Terence Mckenna thought it would
mark the beginning of something wonderful, a new era for humanity. |

It may seem c.r.a.p but there's a star that's going to explode (called a super nova) last time a
super nova happened it destroyed 3 strats twice the size of earth in half a second then next one
is recorded to happen some 2012 december 23. So while you laugh at it it wont matter because
everything that is living breathing will be vaporized in a matter of 4 years. How can god be so
loving
all caring
but kill us all of like we are a bunch of bugs |
