All Public School Pupils Are Snobs (UK)
I go to Gordonstoun School, am due to the name, I am seen as a snob... But I grew up on a council estate... Go figure

Well if you use the word "ALL." You will rarely find 100% of anything. Therefore you''re trying to save your own skin by giving the impression that those who go to public school aren't "all" snobs. Really the question should be...."majority of those who go to public schools are snobs," which is absolutely true.

And Katie92 who is American, has misunderstood the meaning of public school. I believe public school in USA means state school, wheres public school in UK means boarding private school.

In this instance, you are referring to boarding schools. Not just any boarding school, the boarding school you refer to is the same school Tony Blair went to. It is extremely elitist and snobbish. You may have been brought up on an estate, but the majority of those in your school have not been. You are in a minority. And I guarantee you that when you are older you will marry someone who also went to a private school or grammar school.

gordonstoun school has a high % of bursery and scholorship pupils.

What does the word Snob mean in the Uk. You use it differently than I would here in the US.

Having read your statement i need to say, coming up with that opinion is already snobbish! It doesn't matter what students see when they're young and go to a public school because throughout the process of puberty children change, and i think a public school has a further developed variety of people whereas in private schools only people of certain incomes can afford to send their children to. Students who achieve scholarships are also most likely to be snobs, and out of experience i can say that a lot of students on private schools went past their ability to sense the reality of a human character that hasn't been build upon experiences their parents enable them to have!

Well lets get this straight i am and my schools are but there are some bad ones which aren't so no their not all snobby but the good ones are.
