The US government uses the word "organic" to indicate food grown without artificial fertilizers and
packed without artificial preservatives. The US government uses the word "natural" to indicate food
grown with chemical fertilizers but packed without chemical preservatives |

If natural equals good, healthy, etc then I guess I we should all go roll around in poison ivy. |

Lets put this in perspective. I personally would not recommend anyone drinking 8 to 12 ounces of
orange juice but we all know a lot of people do this and the media pushes it. But when you think
about it, 8 ounces of orange juice is about 5 or 6 oranges. How many people you know eat 5 to 6
oranges in one sitting. Again, people need to learn how to put things in perspective. America has
not been taught moderation of any sort. |

Natural ingredients can be equally or even more so harmful then artificial or unnatural ones. What
constitutes as a natural substance in this day and age can be controversial, and often confusing.
Would a radioactive element such as Radon be natural? Would a piece of plastic be natural since it
is comprised of natural products extracted from the natural world? It's hard not to think that
everything is natural. |
