Money brings caution. Caution brings anguish. Anguish brings torment. Torment brings depression.
The one obsessed with money will be the who never has enough. All you need is sunshine, freedom, and
a little flower. |

Not in all cases, but in my opinion money generally does not provide you with true joy. Its just a
filler. Joy comes from bringing other people happiness. |

I have spent time in developing countries and will be going again in February. The country that i
go to is Nicaragua and i live with the poorest of the poor. The thing is, you expect to see
terribly unhappy people, who are trying to get through their life as best as they can. The truth
is, they are far happier than those of the west, and Americans in particular. They are not driven
by their wants, they are not always thinking of more and more; they think in terms of enough and do
they have what they need. It is a life changing experience to see and live among these people. You
understand the nature of happiness better. |

The more money there is in my wallet the more my wallet resembles a smiling face. Can't argue with
that logic (unless you use rational thought). |

No. I think it is the unrealistic expectations that brings sadness: It is all in the Disappointment. |

I would rather be rich and unhappy, then poor and unhappy. |

It depends, if you expect it bring you fulfilment then I agree in the sense that you will be
disappointed. However if your feelings are not hinged on money then I don't think it makes that much
of a difference to you. |

You should be clear about what you are trying to say in the title. Money itself does not always
bring sadness. It does not bring everlasting happiness, though. |

Money is necessary. Without it, you would have a life of strife. |

It's true indeed that somethings are priceless, but most of the things in life can be purchased by
money. What does a person needs? Food, security, sex, water, enjoyment, clothes shelter, etc All of
these needs and other stuffs can be purchased. Without money, you would be like wandering animal on
earth. People say "money is the root of evil", it's not. Money becomes the cause of sadness when you
make money your destiny. Because its the recipe of unhappiness. No, it is not money which brings
sadness, in fact it's the actions of the individual behind money that brings sadness. |

I do not agree. Whether money will bring happiness or sadness to you depends on how you use it.
Charity is one of many examples where money is put to a better use and happiness is acquired. The
receiving party of charity and the person sparing his money to help others are both satisfied and
happy. Happiness that you get from such fulfilling acts does not last for a few hours it stays with
you long enough for you to realize the immense satisfaction and peace that a person can derive from
such acts. For many rich and able charity becomes an addiction such are the pleasures of this self
less act powered by money. |

All money does is bring sadness? What bout the millions of dollars we donate to help others? Isn't
the whole point of that to bring happiness to others |
