If you don't plan on breeding you should have you pets S&N. It's better to have it and not need it
than vise versa. |

I disagree with those who have said that spay/neutering your pet is cruel, when you look at the fact
that by doing so you could be helping to prevent ovarian cancer in females and testicular tumours in
males. With females delivering a litter can also have many downsides such as when they must deliver
through c-section and chance the possibility of death as a result. Spaying/Neutering your pet can
also be beneficial in terms of the pets temperament and any hormone related behavioural issues.
Granted with anything in life there are up sides and downsides I personally agree with having your
pet spayed or neutered if only for the health benefits that go with having either option done. |

I believe that people should have their pets spayed or neutered. The pet population is out of
control and many of these poor animals just end up in kennels or at the dog pound. Many will be put
to sleep. This is not a good life for these animals. If you want to take the responsibility of
caring for the puppies or kittens, then don't get your pet spayed or neutered. It is like having a
baby. If you don't want the responsibility, then have the animal fixed. It is not fair to bring
animals into the world if they are only going to suffer and be put to sleep before their time is up. |
