| All Fast Food Restaurants Should Have A Healthy Alternative On Their Menu |
| Supposedly they all do... However... Rally's, whitecastle, Mr.Chicken, KFC, and etc. Do not. I'm not saying their entire menu needs to be healthy, just a few small alternatives. A taco salad at Taco bell ranges from 850 to 1,000 calories. In some fast food places their dressings have as many calories as a burger! Seriously research it, if you do not believe me! |

Yes but many dont due to people not wanting to eat healthier they have salad options and people
still go for the 600 calerie burger it quite pathetic but atleast they try with the budget most have
like burger king even though the salads and veggie burger arnt so popular they still try to keep it
on the menu. |

They should yes, but most do now anyway. There all doing well with getting kids to eat healthily if
you ask me. |

It is better to eat healthy |

Yes, but I'd rather see an end to "fast food" restaurants in general and healthier meals all
round.
Just what exactly is wrong with healthier ways of cooking food such as steaming or grilling over
heat alone? Nothing, yet finding restaurants that serve basic fare like that is next to impossible
outside of East Asian restaurants. And when I say East Asian, I don't mean hybrid "cuisine" served
in western countries, I mean here in Asia where I live. People here aren't thin because of
genetic reasons, they're thin because the food isn't laden with fat.
Everywhere you go, food is slathered in grease or "creamy" sauces. Even ordering a salad with no
salad dressing, or the ingredients not tossed in oil, is next to impossible. It's like obsession
people have with "apple and cinnamon", as if the apples or other raw ingredients can't be eaten on
their own. (Anyone who says,"Why would you eat apple pie without cinnamon?" is walking proof of
the problem. Try baking one that way sometime, it tastes great.) |

I definitely agree that fast food places need healthier alternatives for people on the go that are
health conscious. So many people are grossly overweight because they eat on the go and depend upon
these fast food places for their meals. I think if they all had healthier foods, it would make it a
lot easier for people to lose weight and still "eat on the go". |

I agree. It would be good to see more healthy options in fast food restaurants. That way, they are
offering something for everyone and not just people who wish to eat unhealthily. |

They need it |

As long as these companies stay profitable very little will change on their menu's. As the markets
change and people stop eating unhealthy foods the restaurants will adapt a healthier menu. It all
comes down to the all mighty dollar. They will provide the cheapest product someone is willing eat
and until we stop eating garbage they will continue to serve it. I think they are heading in the
right direction as more and more of the world is becoming more health conscious and the restaurants
are just starting to recognize it. |

I totally agree. I mean would it kill them to put a few healthy alternatives? They should realize
that not everybody wants to eat that kind of stuff. |
| |

Though it's ultimately up to the consumer to eat healthy, even if it means eating somewhere else, it
would be responsible for each fast food restaurant to offer something healthy. |

I agree, and whilst they're at it they should provide easy to understand nutritional info on the
packet, like the traffic light system used in some supermarkets in the UK. |

1) Although I agree with promoting public health I think it's the individual's responsibility to
make healthy choices (including not walking into the fast food restaurant to start with). 2) Even a
less healthy food eaten occasionally or in small quantities won't hurt you. 3) Your level of
exercise makes a huge difference. Some people can pig out on fast food but then work out and burn
it all off. 4) And whether a healthy choice is healthy or not is quite debatable. Grapes are
healthy unless you're a severe diabetic. Apples are healthy unless they're not organic and may have
pesticides on them. Bread is healthy unless you believe in the Atkins style of dieting. Meat is
healthy unless you believe in vegetarianism, and likewise soy products are healthy unless you
believe the science that says they're estrogen-mimetic and mess with your hormones. |

Hell no, fast food should not be tainted by you hippies. Lol jk about the hippie thing.
Fast food is not meant to be healthy, otherwise it wouldn't be fast.... And for those of u who say
the fast food got u fat, you shouldn't have eaten it. |

Nonsense fast food restaurant are made to make fast food McDonald's has already done its nutritional
value enough if you don't like unhealthy food go somewhere else |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
..wait the UK have traffic lights at the supermarket.., and all the fast food restaurants already do
have the nutrition info, they even give it to you, like at McDonald's its on the paper slip under
your food on the tray, anyway most fast food restaurants already to offer an alternative, grilled
snack wraps, salad, fruit salad, even yogurt instead of ice cream you just have to look closely |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Why should they? You go to a burger bar to buy an unhealthy burger. If you don't want to eat that go
somewhere else. |

Everyone in favor of this is a communist. |

Fast food restaurants should be just what they are. No one is holding a gun to your head making you
eat at a fast food restaurant. Eat somewheres else. |
