Although it COULD be real.... The odds are so slim I don't think so. The thought they could come so
far to visit and then simply cherry pick odd people, put them through hell, and typically put them
back where they got them is just really hard to believe. And why don't they abduct someone like the
President?
The purpose of alien abduction is not to take an important person hostage, but to allow extraterrestrials to analyse the human species and perform scientific tests. They then return the human because they are no longer of any use to them or so as not to arouse too much suspicion.
I am more inclined to say that the Travis Walton story is entertaining, rather than chilling. "Fire
in the Sky," for example is a really amusing film and I remember that as a teen, I enjoyed watching
it. Walton's account of his initial meeting with aliens after having been abducted is quite suspect.
He claimed to have been physically weak and in pain, but was somehow able to frighten off his
abductors, on at least one occasion.
When Walton was asked to take a polygraph test he did so rather reluctantly. When he failed, Walton
pointed the finger at the man who administered the test and claimed that he had been unprofessional.
It's also worth noting that during this same polygraph, Walton admitted that he smoked Marijuana on
several occasions in the past. I wonder if this might explain his experience.
