There Should Be A Alcohol Age Limit
I believe that the key to cutting binge drinking is to lower the age of the drinking. It has worked well in France and there is no reason why it wouldn't here!

I think that we should have an age limit for alcohol ,but it should be 21 years of age at least that's when my parents started drinking. Luckily my dad stopped so that is why i live with him. He stopped 2 almost 3 years ago. Seeing what it did to both of my parents before they quit is why i won't even drink so i shouldn't really be in this debate i just felt like righting in a good debate.

I agree, I think many teenagers think they're cool because they're drinking underage, they get a buzz from being rebellious. Also, I think this buzz lasts a few years, so even if the teens today do continue to drink, they won't be as in much of a rush to get polatic and the buzz will wear off at a younger age or/and for less time. And if young people in gangs don't want to drink, it doesn't take a lot to say no, even through peer pressure. There are many people every day saying no and I don't see what prevents others from doing so, it is their choice.

I'm not sure where you live, but the United States should definitely lower the age limit. I've never understood why adults should be too young for anything (except senior citizen discounts, etc.).

It really should be lowered. High school kids will binge drink. But here's a news flash... They already do! By lowering the age the kids won't be doing anything "wrong" anymore and won't need to hide their activities. They will have one less impediment to actually discuss drinking with their parents, teachers, councilors, etc. They will be better off for it.

Why not just leave it where it is and call it good?!

In my opinion it's where it should be.

Lowering the age limit so teens can become binge drinkers/or alcoholics at an earlier/ younger age?..no way..I think they need to raise the age limit. Maybe some of them will be given the time to outgrow/mature away from the go-along-with-the-gang- mentality of binge drinking. Either way, underage drinking will continue to happen..I am not naive, but I think it will be less with the age requirement being raised instead of lowered..

You shouldn't lower the age because that will say to the underage drinkers now, wow this is easy we can get drunk even more. Maybe highering the age limit is needed here. France is a very different place to here and there is no reason for it to work over here, just because it's worked there.
