Since your comment says, "coolest" - if i choose to take your statement literally - it IS COLD there
- then, you are correct.
Literally, I agree.
It snows 9 months of the calendar-year there. |

I spent the summer of 1976 as a summer camp cook for a YMCA camp based in Anchorage. It was one of
the best times of my life.
Fortunately, I was not stuck in one campsite all summer; we would move our operations, and the kids
would come to us. So between that and traveling between sessions, I saw quite a bit of the state.
The No. 1 overwhelming thing is Alaska’s limitless wilderness. Indeed, there are very few roads,
due to the climate and permafrost, so this restricts access to the bush.
Taking the train to Denali NP and seeing grizzlies, hitchhiking down the Kenai Peninsula to ride
bikes on Kodiak, and seeing Mount Denali for the first time are among my most-treasured memories.
Unfortunately now (and even then) Alaska is almost prohibitively expensive; it is essentially an
island, so transport of goods and food to there is pricey. |

Alaska is a very cool place in terms of temperature. It is a proven fact that cooler places are more
enjoyable than the hot ones. Thus Alaska can be called as a good place. There are many tourists in
the world who go to Alaska during the summers because even in the summers also Alaska remains to be
cool and the most amazing fact is Alaska is a very interesting place and one can never feel bored if
he or she has gone to Alaska. Even many tourists after coming form Alaska has even termed Alaska to
e the coolest place ever. The weather prevailing in Alaska is just mesmerizing for tourism and other
entertaining issues. Always one can find new and new things to do in Alaska and that is the reason
why people never get bored in Alaska. |

I have been there, and it is a beautiful place. I would live there, if the price of living wasn't so
high. |

Cold just does not seem appealing to me. I relate cold to Alaska. I have heard it is very beautiful
indeed but don't think I could bring myself to actually spend money to visit. |
