I like your debate topic. It brings the whole creationism and evolution topics together.
Hahaha! Quite amusing. |

Assuming that Adam and Eve is not just a "simple tale written for a simpler culture in a time they
couldn't grasp the complexities we do now", (by Grenache, where I concur), I would say your theory
seems logical and philosophical. This even goes along with evolution, or at least doesn't go against
it. |

Though I don’t believe that a man named Adam and a woman named Eve, who was made from a rib of her
predecessor, simply appeared on Earth at one point in time out of nowhere, if I were to assume, for
the sake of the argument, that this event did indeed occur, using the knowledge gained from reading
such stories about the occurrence, I’d agree. I find it kind of odd that you put this debate in
the “science” category though, seeing as how evolution appears to play a minor role in this
debate. |

If there was an Adam and Eve then how can we have different races of people? Everyone’s genetics
would come from the same two people. I can't believe people actually believe this stuff. |

First I fully believe animals have souls and intelligence too. You'll never convince me my sweet
smart (and now deceased) cat was just a bundle of nerve impulses and undeserving of reuniting with
me in the afterlife. And so if animals can have souls then the primates going through evolution
could have had souls too.
Second I believe Adam and Eve and Genesis as a whole is a simple tale written for a simpler culture
in a time they couldn't grasp the complexities we do now.
Third if what you say is true, that Adam and Eve had the first souls, then you're linking the very
existence of souls to the very existence of actual sin, frankly wouldn't we have been better to just
remain as animals without sin than to win these precious souls and spend the thousands of years ever
since trying to prove we don't deserve to be burned in hell for sinning? |

Well you seem religious, so by concluding that humans today have no soul your disproving your own
religion. Also, Adam and Eve are the same as humans today if you truly think about the stories. We
are corrupt/disobedient, and so were they. They did it in a subtle form, whereas we are now doing it
in much larger ways. Therefore your wrong, and your wrong. |
