Action Is Greater Than Words.
We can't change the world by thinking about how it needs to be changed. We must take action to change the world. Even though thinking prepares us for the action. Agree? Disagree?

If someone SAID, "I'm going to kill you," then obviously that's just words, but if they DID kill you, hello, you'd be dead. Words become your actions. Or so I've heard.

Actions are greater than words in a sense. But with out thought our actions wouldn't be that rational, or effective. But I agree with you because our thought isn't the same as words.

I think words tend to be a little more powerful than actions. If you perform an action, there is a near-instant effect of that action. If you kill someone, sure, that's a pretty strong action; stronger than saying you will kill that person. But if you somehow use your words to manipulate the situation and have one person kill another? That's pretty powerful because you didn't even have to get your hands dirty. Words are especially powerful if you're a dictator on the path to genocide.

I'm ignoring your entire change-the-world to say that the phrase "Actions speak louder than words" was written by a man. Women need to hear the words. Men think it is stupid to explicitly state what they have obviously just shown through their actions, but trust me, most women are swayed more by speech than by roses.

 Lynn if a woman is swayed by words then has anything really happened? As stated earlier words prepare for action however the words themselves don't change anything.

Words Are Action. You can't speak without moving muscles and burning calories.

Better if you said Action is greater than thought.

 well the words thing was just making a phrase that people would like and thus read the debate.

I think speaking can change the world because speaking makes better peace then fighting.
