When you don't create a whole explosion (like myself) it's good. It's really hard not getting all
worked up over something that is just as simple as well you can disagree or agree. You know? |

I agree they have every right to their opinions. Personally I'll try to be fair and balanced and I
appreciate when others do the same.
HOWEVER
Keeping in mind this is a debate site I also think participants have a right to tear into the
opposing views as much as they want. Even if some of their attacks are childish the truth is they
can pitch their argument however they like. |

I totally agree whether its fact-based or not you need to (not necessarily agree) but ACCEPT the
fact that this is what that person believes. Some peoples back and forth arguments are just dumb
because they say the same thing OVER AND OVER I'm like okay we get it you believe this and you think
he/she is wrong, that's enough. And really unless your clarifying your point from which someone
doesn't understand then you shouldn't even say the same thing or touch on the same thing you said in
an earlier post it gets repetitive. And there's a difference between clarifying your point because
of technical questions and preaching it over so someone can believe what you believe. |

I heard that my 2 cents. I wish I could give you a kiss for that statement. I tried to tell someone
why abortion should be a crime against humanity, (research the nuremburg trials) She shot me down
like I was a plane. I ask you not to be offended cents, its not often That a woman agrees with
me.
I can accept some beliefs, but I was raised that you should never accept corruption in any form. IF
the bible says that it is wrong than it is corruption. That is how I was raised. |

Accepting others opinions shows a weak mind.
Accepting that others have worth is fair-mindedness.
Not the same thing at all.
You must learn to differentiate. |

Maybe tolerating, but not accepting. |

I would agree with this statement if it weren't for the fact that, with many people, their opinions
are not based in fact. Many people's opinions are formed out of ignorance and prejudice. There are
rational individuals who I disagree with, but with whom I can agree to disagree and still hold in
high regard because they are able to present their opinion in an intelligent and fact oriented
fashion. That is not the case with many people. On some issues, I simply cannot respect that
someone shares a different opinion than mine if it is an opinion that is fueled by intolerance,
hatred, ignorance, true stupidity or cannot be justified in any intelligent fact driven debate or
backed up by any something even close to fact. If it is a concept, and no fact exists, I look to
see if other intelligent members of society exist that share that opinion. If there are others in
agreement, I am willing to respect that, while it is not something I agree with, it may be valid. I
do see some rather bizarre things posted on here and could not ever say I would be willing to
respect that I simply do not share that opinion. I look at some of them and wonder if the person
should have their head examined. For the most part, however, I do believe that you are correct. In
society, finding a way to get along despite our differences does demonstrate maturity and is the
peaceful and respectful way to exist with one another. |

I partly disagree, while I can accept some people's opinions, some opinions are just too ludicrous
for words and should be treated with the contempt they deserve. However, I do agree if some oné's
opinion is well presented then it should be accepted. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but some
opinion are more opinionated than others, if you get my drift? |
