| Abstract Art Should Be Critically Evaluated To The Standards Of Public Expectations And Museum Judgment And Not Be Subject To The Artists Name And Past Achievements. |
| Today's society has long forgotten the meaning of art. It's like our ability to decipher true art and all its significance and beauty from mindless junk has diminished with most common standards in life. Yesterday we had brilliant sculptures and chromatic paintings.. Today we have portapoties hanging from ceilings and rope lined from one wall to another. And that's considered great abstract art. It's only accepted as great art because the people who are creating this are famous and are known for great masterpieces.. There's no meaning or expression. I know if i did that it wouldn't be considered art. |

It’s dangerous to try and narrowly define what constitutes art. While I would probably agree with
you on some particular pieces one benefit of modern abstraction is how many forms of expression are
used these days. Just because somebody says its great doesn’t mean you have to agree. |
