As a formerly straight-A Fine Arts student, I say : HA HA HA.
The Old Master's style of art, which is, of course, Representational Art, is the only art worthy of
serious debate/talent.
The Old Masters, are the benchmark of true greatness/craft. |

I think it's a mistake to put value judgements on different art forms (with the possible exception
of Nazi art).
Abstract art strikes closer to the heart, and representational art strikes closer to the brain. I'd
point out many artists successfully blended the two: Braques, Picasso, even Bosch.
I'd also point out that "abstract" and "representational" are not mutually exclusive. You can conver
anger or fear without objects. |

There is no better or worse when it comes to Art. The abstract art movement was an offshoot of
Dadaism which was basically an anti-art Art movement. Abstraction is attempting to create something
beautiful with no reference point in reality as in representational art. |
