Abortion Should Be The Choice Of The Woman.
This is widely debated, and I like to see what you think.

If it's a woman's body, it's her choice.

And no, all you Christian religious wackos, abortion isn't murder. If abortion is murder, than male ejaculation from masturbation must be genocide, because it's essentially the same thing.

No woman should be forced to have a baby she doesn't want. Enough said.

I think people need to be so judgemental of people. I for one would never abort my child, but I don't think anyone has a right to tell someone that they can't have an abortion. I think that if abortion became illegal, it would cause more problems than it would be solving.
There are many reasons for a woman to chose abortion.
And while there are many other options like adoption, some women can't bear the thought of carrying a human inside of them for 9 months (especially if they had been raped)

It's like they say "Don't judge someone 'till you've walked a mile in their shoe's"
Because you never know their story.

Men should be bloody careful with their bloody white lies and little white mice.
Women should be careful not to try entrapment, and find out he was not that interested.

I agree. Poeple should LOVE in a relationship! not hate or abuse.

Re: Pro Choice v, Abortion.
To be forced by society, the law to carry an unwanted child can be devastating for a woman to endure. Accidents happen. Maybe the biological father turned out to be a devious turd. A liar concealing his marriage to another where-in he would be unavailable as a dad?
I would not want to be attached to this idiot forever or to have to deal with him for eons because we shared an accidental child, begot on a lie, a weak moment if I was drunk and irrational.

Give the child up for adoption?
Not happening. I would not welcome the ordeal of looking over my shoulder with agony and guilt on every birthday or holiday till the day I died
No way Jose !! If I had to carry and care for an unwanted child, I doubt I could be a very loving or nurturing parent if I held any resentment for being forced to support a pregnancy I didn't seek or ask for.

talk to women who have had abortions. most will tell you they look over their shoulder with agony and guilt on every birthday until they die.

your child would still have a birthday. It would just also be the day he died.

I think it should always be the choice of the mother. They have to carry the baby and give birth to the baby, so therefore it should always be their choice. I personally don't agree with abortion, but I still agree that mother should have the final say in whether or not their baby is aborted.

It is and always will be her choice for practical, physiological, ethical, and moral reasons. The only question we have to ask ourselves is would we rather give the women of our society proper medical care and advice during this time or do we force them to use a coat hanger.

Absolutely. The State should deal with running their state (which frankly they need to work on) and stay out of the bodies and rights of women. The fathers can express their wishes but ultimately it's the woman's body which has to carry the baby for 9 months and so often gets stuck with taking care of the baby alone after birth.

Its not a matter of what it should be. It IS the choice of the woman. That should never have been seen as any sort of victory for pro-abortion people. Just because a woman has the ability to choose to kill her fetus doesn't mean anything in terms of it being an ethically sound choice. That's the debate.

I agree. Although I don't believe in terminating another being's life, I think it should still be the choice of the mother's because you never know the circumstances.

I do not believe in abortion. Abortion is murder of the unborn child. I just think to disagree should be gone about properly. It is possible to disagree without becoming disagreeable to the point of aggressive rudeness is all.
So that's where I stand on this. Proper ways to go about things.
I do not believe in bombing abortion clinics or anything aggressive.
I believe more like Martin Luther King Jr's passive protest system. It worked for the blacks. Peacefully assertive.

You do not believe in abortion. Belief being the operative word.
You do not know that an abortion is murder.
You say it is.
You are disgusting. Based on your belief, you call people murderers.
You call someone a murderer, present the evidence and prove it.
Until then, you should have your head cut-off.

This is wrong.

Why do all the pro-choice people choose to kill their babies?

Isn't adoption another choice?

Don't people have to be held responsible for their actions???

Abortion is another horrible sin that provokes God's wrath. If we get still get upset over almost 60,000 killed in just one Vietnam, shouldn't we get more upset over 1,000 Vietnams? The deaths associated with 1,000 Vietnams would almost be equal to the 55 million innocent babies who have been murdered in America since the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision, on January 22, 1973, that made abortion legal. Our society has allowed 1,500,000 babies, about 30 Vietnams, to be murdered every year for the last 38 years in this ongoing tragedy of epic proportions.

Some babies are still being murdered by a barbaric, three-day-long, abortion procedure called "Partial-Birth Abortion." As a live, full term baby is about to be born, it is turned so that the feet are delivered first and then long scissors are thrust into the base of the skull while only the head remains inside the mother. A tube is inserted, the baby's brain is sucked out, and the head collapses to make delivery of the dead baby easier. Laws outlawing this evil practice were vetoed multiple times by President Bill Clinton.

A little baby in the womb is no longer just another part of its mother’s tissue. At the moment of conception … once that fertilized egg multiplies from one cell to two cells, a new life, which has new DNA material that is unique to this world, is begun. A new little person has a God-given, inalienable right to life which begins at conception.

Ruth 4:13
13. So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife; and when he went in to her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bore a son.

At conception, a mother’s relationship to that new little person who is growing inside her body must change. A mother has a stewardship (management of another person’s property entrusted to her care) responsibility to protect that tiny, new life. It’s the same concept as the fiduciary relationship that your financial advisor has to you. If he acts irresponsibly … if he makes any decisions that are against your best interests, he can be prosecuted. God knew the name of that new little person before He created the heavens and the earth.

Jeremiah 1:5
5. "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;

“I stood at the doctors side and watched him perform a partial-birth abortion on a woman who was six months pregnant. The baby’s heartbeat was clearly visible on the ultrasound screen. The doctor delivered the baby’s body and arms - everything but his little head. The baby’s body was moving. His little fingers were clasping together. He was kicking his feet. Then the doctor took a pair of scissors and inserted them into the back of the baby’s head. The baby’s arms jerked out in a flinch - a startled reaction - like a baby does when he thinks he might fall. Then the doctor slowly opened the scissors up. Then he stuck a high-powered suction tube into the hole and sucked the baby’s brains out. Now the baby was completely lifeless . I never went back to the clinic. But I am still haunted by the face of that little boy. It was the most perfect, angelic face I have ever seen.”

I think it should be the choice of the second cousin. If you have no second cousins then you must roll 3 dice. If the number is above 10 and even you must ask the next person you see. If it's any other number you must flip a coin. Heads you keep it, tails you flip again.

I'm going to disagree because the stated topic is not widely debated.

These are the topics that are widely debated:
Should babies be murdered? Should children be murdered? The answers to these questions are as follows:

Duh and...
Duh.

The fact that nobody can prove embryos and fetuses are babies or children is totally ignored. The fact that a woman should have the right to decide whether she wants an abortion is totally ignored.

The fact that people in power determine whether something can be done or not is totally ignored. This is what determines whether a woman has the choice. Nothing else determines it. Whatever the ruling decision..at this time it cannot be supported by science or the Bible.

Therefore, it should be the decision of the woman and ANYONE who says different is being an arrogant secular and/or religious moron.

While it is fine to believe YOU shouldn't have an abortion, it is not fine to support in ANY way, the efforts to force others to live by YOUR beliefs.

Whoever you are...you are being disgusting. Your pride and surety reeks of arrogance and it is my belief you should have to financially support ALL unwanted embryos and fetuses. Everything. All the way through a College education. That would shut you blithering idiots up for a couple lifetimes.

Clearly, the personhood of the baby is not the issue here at all. The issue is the right and power of the mother’s choice plus nothing else at all. In other words, there is no other factor, nothing in the essence of the unborn, to determine its right to life or not. This is pure totalitarian rule. The rights of the strong determine the rights of the weak and defenseless.

Disagree.
While the fact remains, ultimately it is the woman's choice. Just like, ultimately it is my choice to shoot my neighbor because I don't like him smoking pot in my backyard. The question here is should it be legal for a woman to murder her child because it is not born as of yet.
The answer for me is simple. Just like it is not legal for me to murder my neighbor, it should not be legal for a woman to murder her child.

As for the "woman" part. I do believe it is very inconsiderate of our society to assume the father has no rights considering the human that was created in the womans womb is a result of his sperm fertilizing her egg. It is his flesh and blood. I know it would devastate me to know my child had been aborted. The guilt, sorrow, and grief I would feel would be tremendous.

Again, your argument is wrong. The question is not should it be legal to commit murder.

The question is, is it murder?

You digress.

Abortion is just a candy-coated Doctor-word to try and make acceptable, the completely unacceptable: Murder, of the most innocent and worthy citizens of all: The unborn human being.
Precious Children.

I believe that abortion should be illegal, no matter what the circumstances are and it should not even be a choice. In today's society too many people have abortions as a form of birth control. I don't care what people say, abortion is murder. If you do not want the baby, don't kill it. It is better to give birth to it and then put it up for adoption.
Although I believe that abortion is murder, I would accept it if the mother's life is in danger. Regardless, it is still murder. If this were the situation, a doctor would deem it as medically necessary and perform the procedure. This could be labeled as an involuntary abortion. However, having abortions for any other reason should be outlawed. People get put in prison for committing murder on the street. People should also do jail time for having an abortion. Fair is fair.
