Of course he could "depending on the situation". The "situation" could be that the ninja was
sleeping upside-down tied to a chair and the samurai was holding a fully automatic machine gun. |

Actually ninjas never existed in western media till the easterners made shows and movies on it. Then
the westerners practically got jealous and both copied and bought shows from their creators. Their
creators decided that this was a good business deal and sold them copies which they translated into
horrible retarded versions.
Also ninjas were almost never used in combat, they were usually hidden sentries, spies, or message
deliveres. While samurai s were guardians, combatants, and didn't usually move around (like the
ninjas at least)
ninjas were completely defenseless against a samurais weapon because they would only wear a cloth
suit and occasionally some metal armor, were as the samurai would wear layers of hard bamboo and
pads thiker then the brains of those who disagree(not very think) they also were equipped with large
but heavy kanata's...
Freak those guys over there------------------------------------------------->
i stab you with my kanata=

I agree, a samurai is much better outfitted for a proper combat one on one fight, the ninja does
rely on the element of surprise though and if they were both in a battlefield during a skirmish the
ninja has the chance of successfully killing the samurai, certain ninja were employed during wars to
assassinate targets such as the enemy general and his guard even in full scale warfare with no
obvious place to hide.
A ninja also makes good use of various items, the shuriken for example was rarely used to kill,
instead it was designed to distract pursuers and allow the ninja to flee, if a ninja used shurikens
in an offensive tactic on the battlefield, they may just cause the samurai to be put on the
defensive long enough to get a clean (maybe killer) blow in, although this is highly unlikely. |

Most of the time samuri's have armor and sword and a ninja usually has just fists and a crappy sword
so the samuri would so win |

Basically what Hidell said.
In a straight fight, the Samurai ought to win every time, as the Ninjas tended to prefer stealth. |

Ninjas have been hyped up in the mostly Western media and portrayed as gods of combat. This is at
complete variance with actual history. The truth is that ninjas were very poor fighters. Fighting
wasn't really their thing. Stealth was their thing. If he did his job effectively, a ninja would
never get into a fight. A ninja who got into a fight was a ninja who had already failed.
Ninjas would sometimes use their swords as a way to climb over walls. One would get on top of the
wall, then lower his sword for the other to hold onto and be pulled up. That shows how blunt their
swords were. Try doing that with a samurai sword and see how many fingers you have left. A samurai
would destroy a ninja in a stand-up fight. |

That depends entirely on the ninja.
For example.
If ninjas could do what they can in Naruto then the samurai would be stuffed.
And even if they couldn't they'd still win.
Smoke bombs from a distance while running throw kunais. Slice, dice, blend. Dead samurai. |

No way could a ninja beat a samurai, have you ever watched samurai champloo? A samurai could draw
his sword faster then a ninja can grab a kunai or vice versa depending on the skills one might
have
ha ha anime obsessed, what i say is the truth ! |

In a dual?
The ninja is lighter
quicker
and has much better technique |

Ninjas are secretive and they could counter attack them in an instant. |
