| A Rate This Debate Button Would Be Useful On This Site |
| It would be useful to have a "rate this debate" button on the site. You see the same type of thing on movie review website.... Something like "How helpful was this debate" - very helpful, somewhat helpful, not helpful, OR like a letter grade A, B, C, OR a number rating 1 to 10 and 10 highest, etc. It would calculate the average of all the responders and show on the main page the rating for each debate topic and its discussion. |

I think this would be a good option, it would motivate users to create better debates, but I have a
bad feeling that people would rate the debates on bias standards. If someone participated in a
political debate, but hated politics, then they would most likely rate that debate poorly. If this
happened at a substantial rate, some good quality debates may be rated poorly over all, and its
score may deter people from participating in it. |

Yes I agree. Very good point and one that keeps cropping up.
It also relates to the age limit, also the quality of the responses somewhat.
Depending on the topic, debaters can be quite critical of others responses, and indeed I have
myself thought after words that I could have done a better job.
It is a bit disappointing when you feel you have a good topic and no one responds to it
though...;-)) |

I think I should be hired to rate all debates and comments. Then there would be a rate the rating
button. |
