Alot of debates are in regards to people's personal roblems. I don't see this as a problem though
seeing as how this is a debate sight. People put issues, whether community or personal on here and
people debate about it. |

I do think that a lot of the debates are based around personal problems. However, debates are really
issues and problems that people are facing. If there were no problems in the situation ,then there
would not really be a debate. However, do I agree with Nickwhan. Some are personal opinions, but
many times, you can also debate a personal opinion. There should be a link to click that explains
how to debate. When you debate, you are trying to persuade someone to think like you do. You are
trying to be convincing. So, no matter if it is a personal opinion or a personal problem, there is a
debate somewhere in there and you should post your opinion about it. The more the merrier. You can
learn a lot from debating. |

Why do you seem to think that a personal problem can't be a debate. Because of my sexuality I face
a lot of personal problems that society should address therefore they are valid for debate. |

Yes because some are just pointless and stupid debate and they are really annoying. Some aren't
pointless but some are. |

In every debate there is a problem, the debate itself is about either proving that there is not a
problem, or deciding on a solution to the problem. The problem may be either personal or a general
problem of society, you can still debate, and learn quite a lot, from personal problem based
debates.
However, I do think that some debates on this site don't revolve around a problem at all, and are
just personal opinions, which are not a valid debate topic |
