A Good Sense Of Humor Is Always A Plus
Some people take everything to seriously, there are times to be serious and times where you have to lighten up and make a joke.

Nothing is a bigger turn off then someone who can have a good time and laugh, especially at themselves

Yes, I would say so. As long as you know how to appropriately use the sense of humor, yes.

Yep!! It makes you feel good about yourself, and others feel good of you! As long as you aren't trying to pull a joke every single second... It's good!!

Laughing is good for you and your brain what would a world be like if there was everyone being serious

It's especially good if you can laugh at yourself.

Yeah. As Lavatis said though, it can be appropriate. Not everything is a laughing matter. However we should always keep a positive head about things

I agree, but it should be able to control it because it feels really horrible when you are going through a hard time and someone just laughs at something. It doesn't even have to be at them, it could just be at a funny part of a book, but then you get mad because they can still be happy even when you are going through such a hard time.

Prince Philip has a good sense of humour, but not everyone else shares it. He went to China and joked with a bunch of British students, saying they would all become "slitty-eyed" if they stayed there much longer. He also said "If it has four legs and is not a chair, has wings and is not an aeroplane, or swims and is not a submarine, the Cantonese will eat it."

While touring an electronics factory, he joked that one unsophisticated looking fuse box "looked as if it had been put in by an Indian". When he was in Papua New Guinea, he joked with a British student "You managed not to get eaten then?"

Don't you think, though, that the suggested character trait could lead to insensitivity?

Besides, a 'good' sense of humour is subjective, so not everyone could empathise and react positively to the wit in question.
