A Christian Interest Debate—the Bible Says The Devil Will Place His Mark IN Our Foreheads (not ON) And We Will Not Be Able To Buy Or Sell Without That Mark.
I think getting that mark is closer than we think. Our eyes are in our foreheads, and companies are considering using patterns in our eyes as means of identification—cataloging our unique eye patterns would make them the identifying mark. Without that identification, we will not be able to buy or sell. Our eyes are the windows to our souls, hearts and minds. There are no better or more ready-made openings to receive the devil’s marks IN our foreheads than our eyes. What is ON our foreheads is skin, but what is IN our foreheads are our brains.

I'll accept no mark, from Satan or God, nation or religion, creed or philosophy. All my marks, now or to come, are my own, for my own purposes.
"The Angels and the Demons quailed at the bottomless evil and sublime goodness that lay in the hearts of men for it was far beyond anything they could hope to match."

The way I understand "End Times" Bible prophecy, the mark of the beast is to be placed on the right hand or on the forehead. To me the word "in" could be another translation that could indicate some sort of chip implanted under the skin, or it could be the mark of the beast being, burned or a tattoo....the last two would qualify as being "in" the right hand or the forehead because the damage or a burn would be deeper than the tissue at skin level and a tattoo is "in" the skin as well...not like a magic marker and on the skin. That's just my opinion. I am not stating that as fact, just the way it would appear to me.

"If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath.” Revelation 14:9,10...in this version, the mark is stated to be on and not in the forehead or hand. This is the version I read before,, not the one stating that the mark is placed "in' one's forehead or hand, but I have read that in some industrialized countries, it could be in the form of the V-chip. I don't know how accurate that info is.

The beast will be Satan himself, but he will appear glorious and "God-like". He will claim that he is God and that all people must bear the mark so that they can be identified. At the same time, there will be prophets who will proclaim to be Moses and Elijah and will "prove" that Satan is really God. People will have a choice, however, whether or not to get the mark of the beast. Without the mark, one will not be able to buy, sell or work. They will be hated by those who bear the mark of the beast. Many will be killed and some will live in exile.

I have read that this comes after the Rapture, in which all true Christians (not people who say they are Christian, but people who are truly Christian) will go directly to Heaven, but I talked to my pastor and that may or may not be what really happens. Seems that there is some disagreement about the Rapture and when it occurs. I have not studied scripture regarding End Time prophecy. I've discussed it with a few pastors and, although it is a fictional series, it seems to be based on Scripture, have read the "Left Behind" series...not a bad place to start if you want some ideas on "End Times". To accept the mark of the beast, however, will permanently remove one from God. There is no turning back.

Not trying to belabor an issue, but could not that mark be placed in or made in the eyes? It would be so easy to do and there would be so little resistance since the eyes are already used for identifying people--people would say "Nonsense, it's been done for years," so they would be extremely receptive. They would be like sitting ducks. Only in this case, they would be like staring ducks.

Why is the human race so obsessed with is self. Why do we think we are to important that God and Satan are battling for control of our souls. If either of them matter. Plus, if he does exist, I hope he isn't such a jerk to let Satan mess with us. I don't know about you, but my God, If he exists, is not a devious God. He doesn't set up tests for me to pass, in fact, he just lets me live my life. He might not even know I exist. He's not mean, he's not nice, he's not even a "he". You can't apply human traits to God. God is above and beyond us. We are not God's toy's, just Gods creation. If he exists.

There are tests. Check Job. Satan wold bet to God that Job is only behaving because God protects him. Job was tested and remained faithful. And as reward, God rewarded Job. God can bring good from bad, but doesn't let us be tempt beyond what we can bear, I am sure..

Ever read the screwtape letters? It is almost consistent with some lyrics by Korn. I think there is something there. But I hardly would address this because it not being in the bible.

I think God and Satan need to take their little childish gambling game somewhere else before they piss me off. And yeah, I know I shouldn’t even post on this debate since I have nothing productive to contribute to the discussion, but boredom has taken over and it's controlling my actions right now. Or….maybe it’s Satan. Nah, it’s definitely boredom. Satan doesn’t have the balls to mess with me.

It all is well. All the religious nuts disturbed all atheist debates and religious ones aren't your speciality as science so clearly is.

Satan needn't work on your heart if your an atheist. You have no bearing in equations beyond the physical in that case, as all scientists are limited to.

No, it is already here. Botox.
To be honest the Bibile says nothing. Man reads it and interperets what has been written that was translated from a text written by another and many of the things in the bible were stories passed from generation to generation. We are only human. And while the bible may be an interesting take on the past and give us guidelines on our life and a deep understanding of the human nature we cannot pick and choose verses written long ago and force things of today to fit them.

Many rules can be applied today. We didn't evolve much in 2000 years. And the bible was interpreted by the Roman Church State. Luther and the reformers stood against that and said not to interpret the bible. Sola Scriptura, or scripture alone was a top motto. That you take literal meaning to the bible. Unless figurative speech was used, that shouldn't surprise people, we use satire and metaphors today.

I thought the devil was going to actually put a tracking thing inside our foreheads, and then we would be his. They taught this in a fundamentalist church I went to.

The mark of the beast is very easy to interpret. You cannot force people to choose Satan or God.

The idea that technology is going to play a part has no consequence on our human free will. The best tech is going to do is manipulate money and track people.

Would you like to email me? You can email me for more information. This subject is rather touchy...

Vicarivs Filii Dei.

And look at all the imagery in revelation.

God has a woman (church)

Satan has a woman (whore)

God has a trinity (Father, Son, Spirit)

Satan has a trinity (Dragon, Beast, False Prophet)

God has a seal to be bound in hearts (Seal of God)

Satan has a mark to be bound to heads (Mark of the Beast)

You worship Jesus, and it Glorifies God. (Father)

You worship the Beast, and you glorify the Dragon (Satan)

Satan isn't as opposite to God as you may think. He instead tries to be God.

I would let myself starve rather than accept the mark.
