I agree that taking a bath is relaxing, but a shower is far more refreshing. As far as Bath vs.
Shower goes, shower wins.
Taking showers are better for overall hygiene and water consumption. Taking baths are unsanitary
because the daily accumulation of dirt and dead skin is trapped in the bathtub. Therefore, while
sitting in a bathtub, one is literally stewing in their own filth. |

Well the relaxing part does sound nice but bathes are bad for your skin and hot ones make your skin
wrinkle faster.....an easy solution would be take cold fast showers =] |

No way because in a shower the heat keeps coming and you don't get used to the heat but in a bath
you get used to the heat after a while. |

I think that showers are so much more refreshing and you aint lyin in your own dirt. How can you get
cleaner lying in water full of stuff you wanted to get off you!!! |

I disagree. I do take bathes to soak my aching back and feet, but NOT to get clean. I can't get
over sitting in my own......dirty water. |

Well I guess your right, baths ARE better for your health and for getting clean, but they aren't
better totally, showers are more environmentally friendly and quicker so are more ideal for quickly
washing your hair in the morning - I guess that's why most people have a shower and a bath in their
bathrooms! |

A bath is indeed more relaxing, but I would have a shower over a bath any day. They're quicker, more
environmentally friendly, quicker, did I say quicker? |

A shower is more environmentally friendly and more healthy for a person. Many have raised it already
but the dirt remains around you and more likely to be on you. |

When you take a shower, all the dirt and gime goes down the drain. When you take a bath, all the
dirt and gime remains in the water that you are soaking in, and some of it remains on you. |

A bath is a waste of water; that and I like to pee in the shower sometimes. Hey, what can I say? The
warm water feels good. And I'm a guy and I am genetically obligated to pee in places where I should
not be peeing. So there. |

When I want to clean myself, I want to clean myself. I don't want to wait 5 minutes for the tub to
fill. The idea of sitting in my own sweat and filth would make me sick. I usually take a shower
before I hop in the Jacuzzi. |

I think it was Kramer on Seinfeld who in disgust of baths described it as "sitting in a tepid pool
of my own filth". :)
Anyway, I prefer showers. Also when I was a teenager the only thing my parents had was a bathtub
and I had a bad case of acne on my back and trying to get it clean in a bathtub was a whole lot
harder than in a shower. In fact going off to college where we did have showers my back skin
greatly improved and pretty quickly. |
