Because they live in a sinful way, they refuse to repent for their sins and God will punish them for it. I truly think the number will be that high, unless the world turns away from the path of sin then their will be vast numbers cut off from God. There is of course a chance for all people but only if they accept Jesus into their lives but I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Malachi does not have one verse in it that gives any type percentage. I don't know if you can't read or if somebody gave you some sort of statistic joke book with a cover off of a Bible.

Show me a couple verses where Jesus calls homosexuals vipers. Show me where homosexuals demanded the death of Christ.

You are the definition of those He calls vipers and the epitome of those who demanded His death.

You might want to answer His question. How can you escape the damnation of hell? Like He says, you have to start with your heart. Do you have one of those? Not the little beating muscle.

AIDS is NOT a gay disease.  Do you work in the medical field satanfighter or pissoff?  I do.  I have not seen the same statistics as you, I guess.  I do know that, of the people diagnosed with HIV, in the practice that I worked in for several years, they were not gay.  They were, in fact, straight men who had sex with straight women.  They did not share needles, did not have homosexual sex or have sex with a monkey....whatever that has to do with anything.  They, in fact, had sex with a woman...one woman each (these were actually men who did not sleep with tons of women....just picked the wrong woman in each case).  So, I suppose that disproves the fact that it is a gay disease.  The reason that people think it is a gay disease is that people like you tell people it is.  Here is a little lesson into the transmission of HIV.  If you have sex, share needles, had a blood transfusion before the blood supply was screened more carefully, or are born to a mother that has HIV you are at risk of being infected.  Not all people who are exposed to HIV become infected.  The fact that there was a huge decline in HIV infection in the homosexual population should be further evidence that it is not a gay disease.  Further, lesbians are rarely infected with HIV through sexual contact.  Hmmmmmm....maybe God only wants to get to gay men?  I don't think so.  Sharing a needle is not something that occurs more in the gay community.  People who want to get high are not more likely to be gay.  These people have an addiction.  This is a medical problem that is not likely to go away anytime soon, as drug addiction is a difficult problem in society.  Many of these people do not die of AIDS.  I personally know of many young people who died of an overdose and have no idea what their HIV status was.  It would not have mattered, because they died because they shot up with an overdose of a drug and did not die from AIDS.

Sex with animals has nothing to do with homosexuality.  Verum pointed that out.  Now, I suggest you google what that is called and come back with a new argument.

I am ready to bang my head into a wall.  I really am.  I got sucked away into the other debate that spawned from this one and had a heck of a time getting back here.  All comments led me back there....sigh....anyhoo, I do not know how in the world this became a debate about HIV/AIDS.  It started out as some stupid, inane argument about 96% of human beings going to Hell.  I would love to know this.  OK...here goes....If God were to send 96% of us to Hell, would he not be letting Satan win?  I do not see God as that big of a loser.  I do not think that in the battle for our immortal souls, God is about to let Satan have 96% of us.  Further, I do not think that God is available to the small percentage of Christians in the world.  Does anyone realize that Christianity is not the most followed religion?  Does that mean that people of a different faith, living a good life and loving others are all going to Hell?  Is Ghandi in Hell?  I have always wondered that.  Maybe I will finally find out on this debate....Where is Ghandi?  I do hope someone will tell me.  I think I know, but I do not want to spend one more day wondering.....

So in retrospect I agree with godfighters debate, and find there could possibly be some accuracy in his motion.

You are speaking of 96% of one group of human beings.  I do not doubt the power of God.  In Him, all things are possible, but He does not wish that we should perish.  He loves us.  I find it very difficult to believe that he only finds 4% of us worthy of Heaven.  In the example you gave (and, by the way, it is a good example and one that I already knew, yet I appreciate that you took the time to share that example with me....by me I mean everyone, but you addressed it to me), God protected one who needed protection.  In this debate, it is not stated that 96% of people are going to Hell for a reason such as this.  It is an arbitrary number that godfighter came up with.  I say that because of the explanation under the title.  I still maintain that God does not want to lose to Satan.  I also maintain that God is more powerful than Satan.  If I am right about those two facts, 96% of the world's population is not going to go to Hell.  That would be a defeat of God by Satan.  I do not feel Satan is powerful enough to pull that off.  I also do not think God would allow this.  That, however, is my personal feeling based on the fact that I view God as loving, forgiving and benevolent.  I have that view for many reasons.  I guess I will share the major reason I am so insistent in this belief.

A little over three years ago, I lost my father.  He was sick for many years, but finally passed the day after my birthday on September 9, 2005.  I had never experienced such a profound loss.  At the time, although I was raised in a Christian family, I became bitter and angry at God.  In fact, my faith was almost gone.  I was angry that someone that I loved had to suffer.  I was angry that, the one person on this earth, who I looked up to above all others was "taken" from me.  Who would comfort me when I was sad?  Who would look at me with such love, whether I was right or wrong, and tell me everything would be OK?  Don't get me wrong, I love my mother and I look up to her in some ways, but my father had a way of always making me feel like, no matter what, things would work out and I would be alright.  I agonized over this lack of faith.  I had always had God, but now I was angry at Him and I did not have my father either.  God, however, did not give up on me.  I went out one day and I was in a terrible mood.  I did not want to speak to anyone (that is not like me....I suppose you can surmise that by the fact that I babble on and on here on this site).  I was on my way out of a store when an older gentleman reached over and touched me on my arm.  I had my i Pod speakers in my ears, so he did this to get my attention.  I turned off the music and asked him if he needed help with something (I was in a bad mood....not a mean one.  I could never ignore someone if I felt they needed me).  He said he just wanted to talk.  I looked into his eyes and saw such kindness and wisdom.  I talked with him for quite a while and, finally, I realized that I did not introduce myself.  I told him my name and asked his.  He told me I could call him Gabe (I hope you see where I am going with this).  I had set down a cup of coffee because I did not want to drink it in front of him.  After we talked for a long while, I bumped the coffee cup and it spilled.  I asked "Gabe" to watch my stuff so I could find someone to bring something to clean it up with because I did not want anyone to slip.  "Gabe" graciously waited with my bags and was still there when a store employee and I returned with paper towels.  I thanked him and bent down for a matter of seconds to start to blot up the mess.  I looked up to ask him something and he was gone.  Not just walking away.  He was nowhere to be found.  I looked for him because I wanted to let him know that I was free to talk anytime he wanted and I was going to give him my number.  That man, with eyes that spoke to me before the opened his mouth, was not there by coincidence that day.

I look back to my father's illness and I realize something.  He was well cared for.  He did not die alone in some hospital.  He was surrounded by all of us (my whole family, including my children whom he loved with all of his heart).  God did not take him from me.  God gave him to me for 36 years.  My dear Daddy is always with me.  He is never far from my heart because, not only does he live on in my memory, he is in Heaven.  I do not think Heaven is far away.  I think it is just on the other side of a "door".  My gentle, kind, loving, brave, honest and intelligent Daddy knew this.  It took me far too long to realize it.  I am glad God did not give up on me.  I will not accept that 96% of all of the world's population are going to Hell.  If so, I should have been condemned.  My heart could still be cold and bitter.  It is not.

You are a lovely delightful person my2cents, if only the world was full of people like yourself, however, there is most probably only 4% of people in this world who are so very adeptly gifted in the way that you are, so in retrospect godfighter's debate could possibly be accurate! I like to speak my mind during a debate, I don't care if I tread on toes or whatever, I have very strong forceful opinions, I can judge a person within a couple of seconds. Only by tackling racist and discriminating factors head on can you establish the true value of debating. If someone is attacked during a debate the natural instinct is to attack back. While I admire your defence of kddan during this debate, it is understandable with the amount of emails that have been exchanged between the two of you, and the friendship that has built up between you. However, friendship can cloud your judgement, and sway your stance. I don't give two cents what anyone thinks about me or my stance in a debate. My aim is solely and purely to discover every possible avenue, and angle and to look under every stone for any or all possible answers. Even if this means sitting on the opposite fence, and arguing from a completely different stance than one would normally adopt. I'm big enough to stand on my own two feet, and to take everything on the chin, if you get my drift? If by adopting this stance it gives occassion for other people to strengthen their own beliefs, and convictions, then, and only then, do I believe that I have done my utmost to offer a convincing argument, and propound a debate to my utmost ability. Judge me as you will. However, I will always play the Devil's advocate to the best of my advantage. Without blowing my own trumpet, I will state that I am a highly trained, skillful, adept individual, and nearly all harsh, hurtful, disdainful comments roll off of my back, like water off of a ducks. Hang on, if they believe in Hell then they probably believe in God, and IF God is the nice man everyone says he is, he will let you in. So 0% of Hell-believers will be going there.

What "god"? Prove one exists first.

Here's how you can do it: Fly out to Taiwan where I live, and in front of me, jump under a passing train and be turned into pizza. Then come back to life.

If you can do that, I'll believe, and I'll even reimburse you the cost of your airplane fare, both ways.

If you come here and die but can't come back to life, it means your "god" doesn't exist.

If you won't do it, it means you know your mythology is fake. Or else it means you don't have the courage to prove what you claim to believe.

If you’re right then my conscious would never allow me to live in heaven while god tortured what I consider to be good people. So God better send me to hell because if I see the tyrant then I will tell him exactly what I think of his abhorrent and inexcusable behavior.

I doubt this very much. If we are all God's children, and he loves us all, then why would he damn so many of us? Because his supposed "followers" said so? I don't recall God giving us all a seminar at any point. Just humans writing stories, biased ones at that. God is supposed to be all-forgiving anyway, so surely God would not damn us all because it is against what he stands for.

Godfighter, you give people with normal Christian values a bad name. I am tired of your endless stream of narrowminded, judgemental and self serving chatter. I do not know where you come up with any percentage like that, but I do know that you did not come up with it through a personal relationship with God. Perhaps, you are confusing Satan with God and have yourself all mixed up in the wrong crowd or Satan has tricked you into believing that he is God. Either way, you are growing to be a thorn in my side. I am Christian. I believe in Heaven and Hell. I do not sit around with so little to do with my time that I post debates in an effort to scare people over to my "camp". If someone wants to hear what I have to say on my beliefs, I am happy to share, but I will not shove it down their throats and give us Christians anymore of a bad name than you have already managed to do.

I really wish I were more awake right now because I could go on and on, but I will shortly make no sense at all. I just want to let you know that I, for one, am tired of your debates, responses and comments. You are judgemental, harsh and do not represent a kind and loving God. If anyone listens to you, it is a terrible shame for them.

I think you are totally correct in this line of thinking. Too bad that the idiots who claim to know God so well are really the ones that do not know God. I believe in God, but I do not sit around judging others. I think that is God's "job" and I would suspect that He would be more angry at Godfighter and pisson for using His name to spread hatred than he would be at those who simply do not "know" him.

Actually it's the intolerant and angry people who tell the rest they're all going to hell who are the most likely to be sent to hell themselves.

Also I sincerely doubt God has a giant Excel spreadsheet file checking off yes and no entries for everything done by every soul and then deciding who gets to heaven based on the numbers.

I guess if there were such a place and to not go there you had to be sin free AND believe that Jesus was the Messiah, and cross your fingers and hope you chose the "right" Christian denomination to follow, then maybe you'd be correct.. I have to say IMHO that middle corporate management is hell
